  What is 'worship'? Why would an immortal spirit creature want or need this? Even if it did, why all the jealousy if a particular human 'worships' a different spirit creature? I don't fly into a rage if my dog leaves my side for the company of a different family member..

  had lunch with a friend, whose a lecturer in the accounting dept.

  of one of australia's best universities.

  he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.

  The problem is that a significant percentage of the population earns their living in such jobs. Yes, jobs have always been replaced by technology. What's worrisome is the speed at which it may happen. Anyone who has ever worked in a large corporate office environment knows that probably half of the jobs are monotonous "drone" jobs. But the low level stuff still provides health insurance, a lower middle class income and a 401k.
  
  I dont think our current political system is prepared or even willing to prepare to deal with 25% unemployment suddenly happening. It may be a short term anamoly as far as history goes, but that level of instability can be very dangerous.
  
  Maybe they will all go into real estate and play musical chairs flipping houses to one another.

  revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).

  'i am perfectly happy on christmas day to say merry christmas to everybody,' dawkins said.

  'i might sing christmas carols - once i was privileged to be invited to kings college, cambridge, for their christmas carols and loved it.

  People attend Halloween parties without literally believing in ghosts, vampires, witches and ghoulies. People go bar hopping on St Patricks or Cinco de Mayo without being of Irish or Mexican descent.

  Hip replacement on Monday. Wish me luck.

  as the title says i'm having a total hip replacement on monday.

  the pain has grown over the years and now i'm using a cane to walk.

  after steroid injections and physical therapy, it was decided that a total hip replacement is appropriate.

  A Coin With a Remarkable History

  over the years i have shared a few examples of objects i have found while metal detecting near my home in northumberland in ne england.

  i live in a rural estate that was the site of a medieval village with a manor house and defensive tower.

  many of the things i find illustrate the amazing history of the location.

  My conclusion on the matter

  after being brought up a jw, going to mts, bethel, pioneer school multiple times, serving in foreign assignments and having been an elder for decades my conclusion is that i am now pima, physically in mentally agnostic.. agnostic means you think it can’t be proven either way creation or evolution.

  i do tend to lean towards evolution but creation at the very start because you can’t get life from dead matter.

  but i’m open to the possibility of chance theory at the origin of it all.
