20 years ago, a CO in our circuit had a car with motor problems and the circuit had to pay for it.
When he visit our congregation, he said "Why are so many against paying my repair costs? Do you want me on a donkey just like Jesus?".
The congregation just got more angry.

Our family were looking up to DO and CO's. We gave much money handshakes. Later on we were realising the corporate nature of this men. It was all about the organization. Some were not bad at all but became hard en cynical during the years. Some were mad or stupid. Now being pomo we are happy being free from jw.org and it's officials. It's all a waste.

my grandfather who has been dead for 37 years would not recognise the borganisation today.
he would turn in his grave if he knew the end didn’t come by 2023.. back in the 1970s he really believed in the 75 thing.
he was so disappointed and almost blamed everyone else why the end didn’t come.
My roller coaster ride out of jw.org started with the 1995 generation change. Blood fractions, alternative service, et cetera et cetera. My grandparents told me in 1995 they were not sure anymore about having the truth and died some years later.
Later on JW Pelechia, Jolene Chu and the german historician Dedlef Garbe opened my eyes and jw-media came to light. The double talk and the many lies about jw hystory made my presence in the kingdom hall came to an end. Never felt better!!

i came across this footage recently whilst searching for something completely unrelated and it blew me away!.
it's from the august 1974 convention at murrayfield, edinburgh and you can clearly see the stage set up still keeping the 6000 years and 1975 mantra going.. what makes this very personal for me is that i was here.
