going on 2+ years of no public ministry.
can't imagine anyone is really enjoying letter writing still or that it's remotely effective.
i'm a little shocked that we haven't resumed yet but i guess that's what happens when the org is run by a bunch of old people (ie high risk for covid) and a bunch of other sheltered germaphobes.
It will stop when the GB says "It's the time to stop, we close the door".

saw this while browsing the jw site.
cartoons of rutherford.
😆 .
They left out the US flags at Cedar Point.
It started an all white religion and for the rest, labour and donations.

in a previous thread i mentioned how the society took down the pyramid monument at rosemont cemetary in pittsburgh.
well now there's something being built on the same site.
i'm thinking a high watchtower monument.
Maybe they have to rebuilding the piramid?

i can see it that watchtower will become an online/tv based group with just con-vention hall$.. field service would be letter writing and phone preaching, door to door is done.. watchtower will have pay to view programs and still ask for donations after all that.. zoom meetings are here to stay.
kingdumb halls will be sold off except for con-vention venues, or need for new ones$.. df'ing will continue.
the craziness will continue.
Nothing will change. All doctrines are made lite version now, and jw's are in for the social structure.

what is brazen conduct according to the watchtower?.
here are some references from the new flock book:.
they have really pushed the envelope to bundle a bunch of things into one really evil word.
@blondie, it's just like the kgb and stasi.
Maffia style operandi.
When I read the examples, I did a lot of brazen conduct. "Harmless" sleeping over, and traveled in one room with a friend, who later became gay. Living 3 weeks alone with my sister in law in one house (a real temptation!!
So Gorby can be hanged and buried 😁
Thank God, i'm out of the sect.

at a certain point, as the years tick by, you start to realize that you have forgotten a lot of things.
typically, something you learned, some knowledge or skill you used to have, that you just haven't used for so long you no longer remember anything but that you once knew it.. i saw an article about electrical resistors the other day, and how the colored bands signify the rating.
now all i remember is that i used to know it, and that resistors do something with, erm, electricity ...
Names and faces. Omg.

i saw this thread on reddit.
i think the reason for this is that the 1975 fiasco is never mentioned in the jw religion.
nobody mentioned it to me when i came in the years after.. the problem with this is that all the sad stories were never told (or hushed up) of people who sold off homes, etc.
It took me 25 years before stop blaming others.
Now, at 51, I left the black / white aproach.
Shades of grey now.
Not always a pattern yet, have to work for it.

It all has to do with the degree of maturity.
Don't blame, it was you that made a choice.

I remember a CO at a circuit meeting in the 90's, who stated "those of you who are complaining about not having a good job and income because of wrong choices in 1975, you did it your self! Don't blame the society!", he said.
When you think about it, he was right. We make our choices, good and wrong.
Don't blame others.
