I had a cousin who drove a beater car, lived in poverty to pioneer, said sheâd leave her car unlocked at the meeting at the Kingdom Hall, and cash would be sitting on her car seat after the meeting. I canât believe it was much, though. Probably like gas money. Sheâs still a dub, still poor. She doesnât speak to me, sheâs too righteous.

they believe these even though they have endlessly challenging finances even struggling to pay bills.
the reality is that anyone struggling financially as a jw is going to be in a state of poverty just trying to survive.
