  a friend says the wt gives a substantial sum to retiring cos. he says one bought land and built near him, a desirable rural area.

  i think it must have been saved green handshake money or inherited.. btw this man also thinks the gb are the smartest men alive..

  I think most of the “young wans” who pioneered after high school only did it for a few months or years, no one could afford it. My cousin is in poverty today due to her poor choices to pioneer for YEARS. Her problem, not mine, I’m retiring in 2022. 😀👍🏻

  Their is a scripture about “counting the cost” before embarking on some action or other. These CO’s should have “counted the cost” before becoming a CO. Otherwise, they are “reaping what they sowed” , thinking the big J will provide.

  God let “his people” come to harm in Malawi, Nazi Germany, Russia, etc. So this statement would only make sense if he said “from now on” his people will not be harmed. Basically , anything that comes from the pie holes of the GB is 💩.

  Probably forever, unless someone is PIMO or lazy. After I had faded about 10 years, my dad passed away, and I attended the funeral in the KH. I saw one brother point to me and talk to another elder, I think he thought he could intimidate me into a judicial committee. The second brother shook his head no, as I was sitting next to my big, muscular husband. Lol, these asshats think they have so much power. Legends in their own minds.

  At my old church, we had a parishioner who had an ice cream shop. He brought over his van with ice cream to give out to the kids after Vacation Bible School. He and his wife moved away, I miss them.

  Do any of you ex JW`s ever feel ashamed or embarrassed to admit you were once a JW? To your now friends / associates ?

  i ask this now because i have been living in this town for the past 14 years and the circle of friends i have now i have never let on i am an ex jw.. i`m talking about 30-50 people at least.. not that the subject has ever really come up , but i think they would be shocked / amazed that i was a ( i hate this word ) a "devout" jw for 32 years going around knocking on peoples doors trying to convert them to the religion .. yet every now and again i get tempted to.. how say you ?.
