  Sooo, I guess the WT Corp doesn’t like people to use THEIR OWN PRINTED STATEMENTS in their own literature against them. Wow. If it’s “the truth”, then they shouldn’t have any problems with it. Lol

  i saw the post on reddit and the thread got many responses..can anybody believe the religion is still saying this??

  it has to be as plain as day that so many jws are poor and struggling today because they never got a career or decent job years ago.. sadly, there are still witnesses who believe money will fall from heaven if they are in the full-time ministry.

  they expect some miracle to occur..but, we all know the truth: people in the congregation will be hit up for yet more money for another bunch of irresponsible people pursuing poverty.

  Mark O’Donnell is a very honorable person. I would be proud to have him as a friend. While I agree that what happened with Lloyd was a private matter between him and his wife, let’s face it, a married man visiting prostitutes is sleazy. His credibility is now called into question due to no one knowing the ages of these prostitutes. I pray for his wife and family.

  attorneys for the governing body have responded to the complaint in the above matter by filing a motion to dismiss the complaint.

  the underlying argument its that the governing body is not a legal entity and thus cannot sue or be sued.. the zalkin firm will file an opposition to the motion and perhaps and amended complaint.. what remains a curiosity is why watchtower new york has apparently not been served.. you can read the motion here..

  JW’s and Charity Organizations

  i was wondering if anyone is aware of the jw’s in general being involved financially and/or as volunteers in charity organizations?

  i was a born in jw for 56 years and left in 2016. as far as i remember there was never any encouragement to help in the community in any way.

  including soup kitchens, tutoring at schools, united way, etc.
