Since the watchtower always talked about not having careers or having fame, etc, I had the elders come talk with my (ex) husband about sticking with his job till the new system. These assholes told me I was wrong and a man could choose how to make a living. He wanted to be a "rock star" and I wwanted him to keep his union job. Those elders betrayed me completely. I ended up getting a divorce because the "rock star" was cheating. That was not the life I signed up for! Thankfully, I escaped the J W religion and moved on. 35 years ago. I'm married to my second "worldly husband" 29 years now.

Wacky Baccy Eh! Cannabis Now Legal in Canada
by Simon inso canada has legalized pot / marijuana / cannabis and you can go to stores today and buy some.
the local news is covering it here in calgary with crowds of thousands expected at one of only 2 stores licensed in the city but last i saw, there were only 7 people in the line so who knows how popular it will be.
i imagine all the people who really wanted to get it could already get it easily so this is more about expanding the market to new users who will be less inclined to queue for hours on day 1.. apparently you'll also be able to purchase online with discreet delivery by canada post.

Married for 30 years
by nugget intoday we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and my sons 16th birthday.
i feel privileged to be able to show my appreciation and love for both the men in my life without feeling guilt.
we left in 2009 as a family and have not regretted the choice.

Notes I drafted for a local JW at a cart
by Doug Mason inin recent weeks, a grizzled old man, obviously harmless, has been engaging with a nice lady as she regularly stands by her cart displaying watchtower material.. on monday, she eagerly wanted to know what this old man thought of the book she gave him, "what does the bible really teach?".
when this old man posed some questions, she was very keen for him to write them down.. she also promised to provide facts that earthquakes proved we are living in the last days.. anyway, to make a short story longer, the old man drafted questions and observations on the topics that were covered.. would you please criticise the stuff that this old man has drafted for his next encounter.
any help, anything at all, is most keenly looked for.

Wow, that is a lot of information to share. She will start counting you as a bible study right there on the street corner. I've been on vacation for the past week, went to New Orleans. I had my first and only encounter with cart people there. It was two women, as I approached, they were all smiles. I then asked them if they had ever heard of the Australian Royal Commision. They shook their heads no. I told them a little about it and said they should go home and Google the ARC and jehovahs witnesses. I told them about the two witness rule, and how pedophiles get protected because police are never called. I told them their policies are disgusting. No comments from them, just deer in headlights look. I was a little nervous, next time I may try pale emperors suggestions.
