  OCT 2019 Watchtower - Survival dependant on loyalty to JW Leaders

  there is so much wrong with the newly released october, 2019 but that's not unusual.

  what stands out is there statement claiming that survival through armageddon depends on loyalty to those 'taking the lead'.

  since they claim there will be a point during the gt that they (the gb) won't be physically around, jws must still be loyal to jw leaders.. whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the governing body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of armageddon.

  it could be argued that exjws have issues in life simply because they were jehovah’s witnesses at a point in their lives.

  do you think you or we are fairly normal considering we were jehovah’s witnesses or do you think we have a lot of baggage because we are a bit messed up ( even if we don’t even know it)?.

  I try not to, but each time I am watching a happy time, such as my grandchildren opening Christmas gifts, I’m hit with a pang of what could have been. Same thing when my daughter was growing up, I raised her completely free of cult influence, I so enjoyed watching her enjoy her birthday parties, Christmas, Halloween, etc..still, there is always that wave of sadness for the life I could have had.

  There's nothing to watch on TV anymore ???

  do you find yourself, as i sometimes do, skimming through channels on the tv remote and not finding anything interesting to watch?.

  growing up, we only had four channels on our tv (nbc, cbs, abc and pbs).

  and yet there always seemed to be something of interest to see.. sadly, i often find myself watching shows where some guys are auctioning off storage lockers, killing alligators, picking junk from peoples' garages or barns, catching tuna, towing cars, driving trucks on the ice, catching crabs, running pawn shops ... etc etc etc.

  " love never fails " is the main assembly headline for this years district assemblies for the jws and what a contrived lark that is .

  the jws leaders have created doctrines to which the organization's followers obeyed accordingly which have killed thousands , destroyed families and indirectly caused numerous suicides.

  these men have instituted such doctrines such as refusing blood transfusions, vaccinations and organ transplants at one time, they still uphold the no blood transfusion doctrine though.

  I watched this, it was awesome! Angus Stewart’s appearance was very moving , to him also. He felt honored to be a part in it. I hope this man goes far in his profession! Even farther than he already is.

  This reminds me of when, after hurricane Katrina, flooded out poor people were given $3000.00 gift cards, to assist them in getting necessities, like socks, underwear, toiletries, and sheets and towels, etc. I heard reports of many buying designer purses. So, my opinion is no.

  my never a jw dad tol me that my kid brother (32) is an elder.

  it bothered me, i genuinely thought he was just going through the motions for the sake of his wife and our mum.. interestingly, dad was annoyed that he doesn't see so much of my brother lately and that my mum (uber jw) always makes excuses for him.. what a surprise.
