  here's an excerpt from the recent lawsuit deborah hines v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york et al (paragraphs 158-180), one of 29 known cases brought against the org pursuant to the ny child victims act.

  what should be kept in mind is that gerrit lösch apparently worked in europe (the austrian branch and eastern europe) at the time when the abuse was allegedly reported to him (not a gb member then).. plaintiff was raised a member of the jehovah’s witnesses.

  she primarily attended meetings at various congregations in arizona.

  with the passing minimus, we all may think about what this site has meant to us personally.

  i lurked here for quite a few years before becoming active as a poster....still i consider what i have done to be very slight compared with others.

  may minimus rest in peace and a big thank you to all that have helped me here over the years.. a new member that is a pimo elder (reservations) posted here about how he could wake people up while remaining a pimo elder.

  Everyone’s situation is different, you should do what is best for you. I walked away, moved 35 miles away, didn’t say anything to anyone. Never provided a forwarding address, and there were no cell phones then. Only my parents knew where I was, and they weren’t talking. Again, that was my situation, and I had a “worldly” boyfriend, a full time job, could support myself, and made friends who were not witnesses. That worldly boyfriend is my husband of 32 years.

  this item just featured on the bbc lunchtime news today as the headline story and the piece included a reporter who singled out jehovah's witnesses for discussion from the 30 organisations covered by the report.

  the news item then went on to feature an extensive interview ex elder and ex jehovah's witness writer lloyd evans..

  The Illinois elders going on trial this month DID NOT REPORT, and the child WAS in danger, her father continued to abuse this little girl, so it’s just 💩when they say they’ll report if a kid is in danger. Liars.

  Is the door to door preaching work not the primary focus anymore?

  a few months back, one of my uncles who was an elder, asked the co, why jehovah would allow the door to door preaching work, to come to an abrupt end.

  this was when my uncle was starting to have serious doubts about the organization.. the co told him to be patient, and hang in there, because the governing body was on top of things and in time would explain what is happening regarding the preaching work.. my uncle asked; “what do you mean?”.

  co said; “focus on the wt study articles in the coming months” .
