  In general, I find the word "pagan" to almost always be used pejoratively, as you did. I'm sure Muslims consider Christians to be pagans and vice-versa. And I'm absolutely certain that dubs consider the entire planet saved themselves to be pagans.

  I really doubt that.

  One of the names used for Pantheism is Rational Paganism. I some times call myself a pagan. I am not being pejorative. Wicca is an example of paganism. So are the many polytheistic belief systems that you are talking about, but it is not limited to them. I would guess that you wouldn't consider any native american spiritual systems pagan. However i would. I'm sorry buddy but your attempt to limit "paganism" to mean only and just what you want it to is your own problem not mine.

  The following quote from Albert Einstein also offers a good Deistic description of God: "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds. That deeply emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God."

  Everybody's try'n to claim Einstien eh. I do no where to find the quote but i do know that Einstien thought the idea of a personal creator was childish.

  when i meet somebody for the first time i always have a few standard questions i ask them...so how about it.

  i would like to know about all you wonderful people that i chat and post with on a daily basis.

  I don't understand. Isn't it taken from my computer when it says that it is uploading the pic? I can't figger out and other way of putting it on. I tried using a url for the pic from another web page but it wouldn't show up. The insert pic from file button doesn't do anything when i press it.

  How Many Pagans?

  i was curious to see how many pagans were on the board and what form you practiced.

  i myself am newer to the pagan scene and am studying witchcraft...something i secretly did when i was a teenage jw.

  any way looking forward to hearing your comments.

  To me it feels like the whole planet is one giant sentient organism, with a mind so far beyond our teeny little ones that we cannot even realize it exists, in much the same way that ants do not know about the Special Theory of Relativity. So I guess this makes me a bit of a Pagan, although I hesitate to affiliate myself with any worshipful group whatsoever...and technically, according to the Dictionary, I'm a full-blown Pagan, i.e. I have no religion!

  I feel the same way. In terms of evolutionary theory, ant colonies are best treated as single organisms. I personally couldn't imagine how you could do otherwise. I think though that "worship" needs to be redefined nowadays. Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, believed in God, they were pagan and both deeply religious. I too in the same way and i would say that i do worship. Worshiping doesn't have to be associated with ignorance or superstition.
