Thanks Mum and Giordano and all who care! I must be feeling lonley and self-conscious, they just chew you up and spit you out and it takes a long time to readjust emotionally.

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs
by Lady Lee inthw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

What happened, Rooster?
Thanks Talesin.
Nothing really negative has happened. I guess I just thought I might make a few friends here. When I first came here, I got the big welcome, which I really, really apreciate. But then, afterwards it feels like what you said in jest is true. Not the gossiping, but more like the feeling ignored, kind of like going to the KH, having expectations for friendship and then after the welcomes are done its -fend for yourself- social dynamics. Not that I have contributed much here worth getting attention. But I guess I feel likeI just dont fit in. Maybe its my goofy handle or stupid comments or quirks or maybe because I dont have any intererst in bashing the wt or somthing. But people always say "just be yourself" so I try...But anyway, I know that whining and feeling sorry for my self is not the best way to make friends. I really dont know what I expected here, it just was the only place i felt i could go to connect with others that have had simmiliar experiences and perhaps share some of my own. After going what we went through in the org now its like i just dont fit anywhere. Well, wah, wah wah. But really ...thanks.

We're 'love-bombing' you. When we know you are hooked, then we will ignore you and gossip behind your back.
Just like at the KH!
Well Talesin, its been five months and I have to say you were right. I guess its the same wherever you go. Thanks though, for the welcomes anyway.

by zound inhi guys, i'm new to the site.. sorry to bring up an old topic.

Women: Are they Equal to Men ?
by villagegirl inone of the hard core doctrines of the wt society, and many other religions, is that women are to be in "subjection" to men.. in the bible, in genisis , it says the domination of women by men came after adam and eve disobeyed god.
eve was cursed by pain in childbirth and that from then on as a curse: "he shall rule over you " from then on the male was to dominate the female.. but that was not in the original plan.
this was a reversal of the plan and a curse.

No, women are not equal to men. My wife is a better, greater, kinder person than I ever will be!

Distrust and paranoia among faders
by cedars inhi guys.
i'm interested in knowing whether any other faders out there ever find themselves feeling a little paranoid about establishing contact with other faders or former jws, just in case the unthinkable happens and things turn sour.. personally, i'm now fairly comfortable with the idea that i will be disfellowshipped or disassociated within the next year or so.
i see it as inevitable, and an essential transition in order to do what i want to do with my life.

Why do Jw's have to pay for CO's expenses?
by nolongerconfused inthis is something that has always bothered me!.
why do rank and file have to pay for co's do's expenses, car, health insurance, meals, etc, etc...?.
didn't the apostle paul say that all christians have to be self sufficient and work?, not depending on anyone else and cause a burden?.
-
RoosterMcDooster
Good question. Technically the boe is supossed to "invite" the co to present his expenses and they vote weather to reimburse or not. If they do not he can present them to the circuit or wt as a last resort. I have never heard of the cong not paying for his expenses while visiting. But it is expected.

Whacky comments! What the craziest comment you've ever heard?
by toweragent inlast week a sister in my new hall made the following comment,.
"a brother once told me that it is better to be wrong with the organization, than to be right and be on your own without the organization.".
wow.
