It's not the "old" TEACH book, oubliette - it's still the one to use. The new book is for those with limited capacity, and therefore it is no wonder it is written the way it is written. I don't see how you can critisize a book for those with learning difficulties to be written in a not-too-academic way.

myself, being born a "witness", and most of us here, who have learned their teachings for years, know of the "importance" the gb/wts always placed on the watchtower and awake magazines, themselves.. from the magazines inception, from back in probably the 1920's, or somewhere that far back, the wts claimed that the preaching work, and specifically the distribution of these magazines, were a sign of the times, and a fulfilment of bible prophecy in these last days.
they would compare the watchtower magazine to a "stinging scorpion", claiming those magazines fulfilled that verse in revelation.

Some misunderstandings here. Bethelites are sent to the congregations, to take part in the witnessing work. Secondly, KH building has not stopped - it is increasing. What has stopped, seems to be larger constructions like convention halls.

by smiddy inthe first part was a heading in the herald sun newspaper tues.sep.15 ,2015 melbourne victoria .. , lorikeets and other parrots are becoming meat eaters---and researchers want to know why.. griffith university professor darryl jones has heard the herbivorous bird was eating mince left out by bird feeders in brisbane (australia ) "in two weeks i had about 500 emails from across the country all saying lorikeets were eating meat" he said.. that will surely get the faithful thinking the big "a" is almost upon us.. in the 1960`s i was told that buzzards and other carnivorous birds were laying twice as many eggs than was normal proving the big "a' was almost here.. here we go again.

That is not new. Ever since day 1 it was mentioned AS AN EXAMPLE that they would have had to serve together with Franz who died in 1992. So not moved to 1992, but serving BEFORE 1992.

VA shooting suspect was raised a JW! He mentions it on his Twitter account
by WingCommander inanyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.
bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.
i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.

this "fact" has never been revealed in the org's literature, in fact, this article which was published under geoffrey jackson's supervision, by definition demonstrates the org's approval of corporal punishment for j.w.

As for the W06 quote at the beginning of this thread, you should be aware of the fact that in countries where physical punishment / spanking is forbidden by law, as in most European countries, the wording is different, and there is no mention of spanking. The rod mentioned is an oral rod. So outside of the USA, spanking definitely is a no-no in many countires.
