Yes, the world outside of the US borders is a terrible place - how happy I am for you that you have the wonderful, safe, abundant, clean Great Trump USA in which to live.
what's up with jw parents taking their minor children to such desolate places?
like the english family that took their little kids to the jungles of ecuador, and the australians that took their little ones to norfolk island where hardly anyone lives, and they are the only children in a congregation of 11 publishers?
is this a new form of child abuse?

on the way, at a place where they spent the night, the lord met him and tried to kill him.
but zipporah took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin, and touched moses' feet with it, and said, "truly you are a bridegroom of blood to me!
it was then she said, "a bridegroom of blood by circumcision.
Not quite ignored, it is quoted in Insight, saying
Scholars have offered many interpretations of this passage, some of these being incorporated into modern Bible translations. (See CC, JB, Kx, La, NE, RS, as well as the German Zürcher Bibel, the Spanish Bover-Cantera and the French Crampon, Lienart, and Segond versions.) Such interpretations attempt to settle questions as to whether it was Moses’ or the child’s life that was threatened, whether Zipporah touched the feet of Moses or the feet of the child or the feet of the angel with the foreskin. They also venture opinions as to why Zipporah said (and to whom she said), “You are a bridegroom of blood to me.”
It seems that it was the child’s life that was in danger in view of what the law of circumcision states at Genesis 17:14; that Zipporah circumcised the child because she realized what was needed to set matters right; that she cast the foreskin at the feet of the angel who was threatening the child’s life to demonstrate her compliance with Jehovah’s law; that Zipporah addressed Jehovah through his representative angel when she exclaimed, “You are a bridegroom of blood to me,” doing so to show her acceptance of a wifely position in the circumcision covenant with Jehovah as the husband.—See Jer 31:32.
But there is no way of Scripturally settling such questions with certainty. The literal reading of the ancient Hebrew in this passage is veiled in the idioms used nearly 3,500 years ago. This is why literal translations (NW, Ro, Yg) and others (AS, KJ, Da, Dy, JP, Mo, Le), including the ancient Greek Septuagint, are not clear on these matters.

after i retired i volunteered for several community service programs, including working with the local food bank.
every fourth thursday of each month i help out in distributing food to needy families at the local veterans building.
i've been helping out for five years now.
part 3 of maybe not so relevant information, but nice to know and opening my eyes during the past years, were this pictures of an official watchtower representative attending a meeting between the austrian government and the country's main religions.
i don't know who the representative is, no names, no face, i cut and past it from some website.
.
the bible tells us that noah etc lived to 500yrs old as did many other characters who lived apparently to incredible years.. yet archaeological research tells us from looking at skeletons that have been dug up that the average lifespan was very short.
if a man got to the age of 50 they would have considered that quite an achievement.
when i was in i always wondered about this?
here's something i haven't considered before.
below are the average life expectancies by country (male and female combined), which i found at:.
http://www.infoplease.com/world/statistics/life-expectancy-country.html.
I am sorry to have to tell you that you are making one HUGE mistake in saying that when life expectancy in Malawi is 60, it means there are close to no people there 60 or older. The main difference is summed up in two words, my friend: Child mortality. Life expectancy at birth varies a lot, as your tabulation shows, but if you had looked at it once they have reached the age of say 20, it evens out. There are lots of old people in African countries, but the figures above are influenced by the terrible death rate of children.
Also, that a population is ageing, as in Japan and other countries, has nothing to do with people living longer, but has to do with the number of children born. Fewer children born = ageing population. People living longer does not influence the ageing of a population. People DO live longer, but it is two mechanisms that do not influence each other.
gerrit losch giving a talk in so-called spanish in the dominican republic.
first begging for donations ...and than this.
brothers and sisters travelling hours and hours to hear this reading, he obviously doesnt speak spanish, just knows how to read it.
I don't think his Spanish is bad, and his opening comments when he is talking freely and not has to follow the script, is rather good. I wonder how some of you guys would have made it if you should deliver a talk in a language which you have learnt and is not your native one.
The first one to comment says it is the same talk he gave in Mexico two years ago and possibly the only one he knows in Spanish ..............
250 million years ago a plume of molten basalt gushed up from the earth's core.
it erupted in an area now known as the siberian traps - back then it was part of the supercontinent pangaea.
a curtain of lava a mile high and hundreds of miles long lit up the sky.

Before conscious life arrived, life and Earth must have been strange .......... C G Jung wrote much on this, how the Earth and life - land animals, birds, fish, ocean animals - existed in a strange way, yet unknown, yet undiscovered, before the dawn of consciousness.
I am not a Creationist, but I believe in a Creator, and then after Creation of "Grundtypen", "Basic Units", they adapted within their boundaries, and natural processes took place as were/are inherent in them. Doesn't destroy my confidence in a Creator and Creation.
