When watching the recent GB, four of them look very much alike (Morris, Jackson, Sanderson, Cook), they are more or less overweight, not tall, they are very "buddy-like" towards each other, joking.

Then in come Fleegle and Winder, and they are totally different. They are taller, slim, glasses, very short hair, look as if they come directly from the gym, and their eyes/look are very alert, sharp, no fuzz. My first impression, of course of no importance whatsoever, but still ...... they look like two who can bring new vigour, new outlook, something different into the group.

And by the way, one of them DID come from Service dept. - Fleegle.

At 10 o’clock the annual meeting of the Society was called to order by the president, and it was shown that 415 of the members, of the total membership of 427, were present either in person or by proxy. Then he informed those in attendance that Brother T. J. Sullivan, who has been a faithful and beloved brother and director of the Society for approximately forty years, had found it necessary to resign on September 5, 1973. This he did due to physical handicap, mainly his sight, failing health, and his age being eighty-five years. As Brother Sullivan wrote in his letter: “It seems beyond my physical capacity to meet the very heavy requirements of a director of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. Under the circumstances therefore it seems entirely in accord with Jehovah’s will . . . that this resignation take place as soon as possible.” Brother Sullivan also wrote that he considered this privilege of service as director “one of the most joyful services which I have experienced since being associated with the Watch Tower Society.”

A few weeks earlier the board of directors had accepted his resignation, so now it was necessary to recommend another director in his place. W. K. Jackson’s name was put in nomination. He was unanimously elected for a period of three years

In some other languages too, he is still mentioned as a member, so clearly they are still working on finding all the articles where he is mentioned. In the "Life Stories" section, he is deleted from the list of "Life Stories of Current Governing Body Members".

I am SO sorry to disappoint you, but Thomas James Sullivan resigned July 5 1973 due to health reasons, and died July 30 1974.

As always, the annual death rate is forgotten. They went to hades. With an annual death rate of 1 %, between 85,000 and 90,000 have died each year, totalling between 425,000 and 450,000 in these five years. So there you have it.

SINCE 1992, the Governing Body has appointed experienced, mature Christian elders to help its committees carry out their work. These helpers, from among the “other sheep,” provide valuable support to the Governing Body. (John 10:16) They attend the weekly meeting of the committee to which they are assigned, providing background information and offering suggestions. The Governing Body members make the final decisions, but the helpers implement the committee’s direction and carry out whatever assignments they are given. The helpers accompany Governing Body members to special and international conventions. They may also be assigned to visit branch offices as headquarters representatives.

youtuber millstone research has done a video on the fact that the may 2015 monthly broadcast is no longer on jw org.. https://www.jw.org/en/library/videos/#en/categories/studiomonthlyprograms.

the broadcast was presented by lett who mentions he had the backing of the other gb members regarding his comments.. the broadcast is basically about soliciting jws for funds as well as other 'valuable things' for the organisation.

this is the one where he claims that the money flowing out was more than the money flowing in.
