My waterfall

we just got back from seeing the movie tears of the sun or tears from the sun, something like that.

war movie and a good one.

very unsettling as it should be.

At the very begining of the movie, it got a bit TOO close to reality. That horrible scene of a young man running along the street, as a gun toting rebel took notice of him from about 5 ft away, and sprayed him with bullets, was real video footage from that coup.

Yes I caught that... What a begining... Wasn't sure if I was going to be able to handle what followed...

I think you could find lots of stories where you'd wish for a hero, but the hero never came.

Sad but probably true...

Makena, The Hours is not necessarily a chick flick, if you are a deep thinker you will appreciate it.

so, the catholic church is using sleaze ball lawyers to try to weasel out of child molester lawsuits.. (they were asking for it/blame the victim defense).

on the other hand, liberty magazine (jan/feb 2003) says "to it's credit, the catholic church appears to have cooperated.

in mediation, when possible".

At my trial, alot of jw's showed up to support the elders and my dad who tried to keep me quiet. Even after they heard the testimony, and probubly realized the damage they did, still no appology.
They were given chances to settle. At my second pretrial, the judge tried to get them to settle, but they refused and laughed at me in my face as I walked crying down the hall.

Reading that made me sick to my stomach.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses eat Blood Oranges?

i came across some interesting oranges at the store the other day: blood oranges.. the outside is orange with large red patches, the inside is a deep red... it could also be described as a grape color.. i tried them and discovered that they don't have much of an "orange" taste at all.

i would say that eating one is more like eating a black-berry that happens to be shaped like an orange..
