i joined this group in february, however had been surfing the various websites that expose the witnesses' lies since being disfellowshipped last august.

the support from those sites and this board have been invaluable.

today, i no longer have the fear of having left the organization.

Jim Whitney in Intensive Care-heart attack

i just got off the phone with jim whitney and he is still in intensive care, due to be released to home by the weekend.

the poor guy did not have insurance, so he is going to be busy working on that angle as well, since he had a major heart attack, and need probably a quad bypass.

the doctor told him "this is as bad as it gets.

OMG Amazing!!!!! I'm so saddened to hear he's going through this and sooooo relieved to hear he is ok.

Thank you Randy and please continue to keep us updated! My card for him is on it's way.

alanf seem to suffer from ego centricity disorder.

people in thisn place have patted him on back too much it went to his head.

he think that cause he can shuffle a few figures and write terrible papers on evolution book that he ok. he needs humble self and quit taking praise from people.

last evening my cell phone rang and it was a sister-in-law of mine who had left her jw husband (one of my older brothers) because he was molesting their daughters and the elders blamed her for not being an adequate wife.

she left and was df'd for it.

anyway, we have had correspondence for the past four or five years but never did we talk about the "private" matters.

This is the best thing I could ever have read... That someone because of the Dateline show is able to step out of the guilt prison the JW religion puts people in, is the best news in the world to me.

I hope Bill, Barb and the others read this so that they will know what their efforts have produced. They are not only helping victims but families of victims.

Carmel, maybe you should email Bill and share this with him, I'm sure it would make his day or even better maybe you could get your sister- in-law to send him a "Thank You" email.

why is a kingdom hall called a kingdom hall

i have always tried to figure out for years what is the reasoning behind the name kingdom hall, any thoughts on this?

the candles shown lined up in the bags were some of the few request made to silentlambs.

What would YOU say to this JW about Dateline??

ok i visited the about.com forum (christianity - general) to see if anyone there mentioned the dateline story and sure enough there was a mention of it.

a jw replied to it and i couldn't resist but to post a different view of the situation.

she of course replied to me and much of what she said is very distrubing and some of it is out right lies.

Warning Re: fake emails

i must have annoyed someone i guess .

i have seen some emails that have been faked to look as though they came from me (and this site).

they typically have a subject line such as 'a nice game'.. please be careful about opening any emails especially if the have attachments.

If the time between the two is not very long, you know that this is a pre=packaged spin doctoring straight from Brooklyn or some retired DO who is assigned on damage control. The guy knows too much and seems to have access to data from service dept. files with all the WT legalese and vocabulary.

I agree Belbab, Maybe someone from the legal department....
