WOW!!! I scored BIG at the Donut Shop!
by LDH inwell i took the little crumb-snatcher for a ride in the stroller this morning.
usually i meander over by the college with all of its big, shady trees.. well, satan himself musta been with me this morning cause i got a hankering for a donut!
i eat maybe 4 donuts a year, not my thing..... anyhow, i decide to turn for the donut shop where i choose my sin, an eclair covered in chocolate..... i turn to look at the little stack of reading material and what do i see?.

Doesn't anyone here believe in recycling?
I mean, it could end up as toilet paper. It would be nice to know that for every 1% or 2% of the toilet paper I use to wipe my ass, consisted of something from the WTB&TS.
That way, I feel I'm giving something back, not once, but twice over.

Went to church...for the first time.

it is the first time in my life i ever set foot inside a place of worship for service, other than that of my former kingdom hall.
today i got up around 7:30 aware of the strange familiarity that i once had of getting up early to go to the kingdom hall ever sunday.

If I'm going to believe in lies, does it matter whose lies I believe in? I mean are the WTB&TS lies worse than another churches lies?
If I follow one orgs lies over another am I somehow closer to the truth?
Are another churches lies more safe to follow than the WTB&TS's?
Are another churches lies more correct to follow than the WTB&TS's?
If they are all lies anyway, what difference does it make if I stick with the WTB&TS lies?
It would be kinda' like Pascal's Wager:
Hedge my bets and believe in the thing that gives me the greatest hope/comfort/outlook/salvation/etc.

I think many people agree with you because they are afraid of you. You will do to them what you're doing to me. You come across as very threatening. Just like the WTB&TS. "If you don't agree with us/me, we'll/I'll make sure your life is miserable here, until you're gone."But since you fit right in with your ilk, they criticize me and not you. My spelling is critiqued while your buds get a pat on the back. My language is criticized for vulgarity, while your buds can be admitted free wheelin’ sailors. They can watch the Sopranos I have to watch Disney. I call that hypocrisy.
To me it's like that uneasy feeling a person begins to get about the WTB&TS, when they first discover that they are being lied to or manipulated. Their heart pounds in their chest and then they begin saying, "This isn't right, what am I gonna do?" So they sit back for a while and hope it goes away. But it doesn't.
Then they see many of the posts here and say the same basic thing, "Not here too?" And they go through the same process of denial-anger-acceptance-etc.
But eventually some people will smarten up and see that this place is no different. It's a place where people like you who start using threats and insults and create a place where you have to watch out who your friends are, not to mention a touch of fear, repress true expression. Of course if a person fits in they have nothing to fear.

Hey, I know many, if not most, of my posts aren't appreciated because of the unpopular stand I make. But that is my point. I feel I am showing many of you people to be what you are, no better than the people you condemn.
I stopped calling the JDubs and the WTB&TS the "truth” because in my mind and heart I can't call it that. It bothers my conscience to use that term. But I find that to be true in the majority of the cases here as well. Many people here aren't seeking truth, they've just traded one lie for another and then start making excuses/justifications for it the same way they did when they were in the Borg. Many are, for the most part, ONLY interested when the WTB&TS lies.
I mean it's nice to make friendly banter with people who have or have had similar backgrounds and come from the same relative "mind-controlling" mindset and discuss approaches to break free from it. But to trade one lie for another is not what I call a solution.
So go ahead, insult away, AlanF-uck. I'm sure you win a lot of arguments that way. It's an MO that worked for you when you were in the Borg and for all-intents-and-purposes, one that still works for you today.

Tal[iban-ana]would be completely within his rights to critisise, make fun of, comment on, any artwork that was part of a greater whole (such as a publication, ie: the WT or Awake).
Did you miss the boat on this one? I never said he didn't have the right to criticize, or make fun of, or comment on the WTB&TS artwork. But the wholesale pub. of their artwork on his webSite is tantamount to copyright infringement. Did he ask their permission to display and/or pub. their artwork? Well that's what you would need to do.
My argument with Taliban-ana is that s/he criticizes the WTB&TS for stealing Squibbs intellectual property rights and then s/he does the same thing in turn to the WTB&TS. Rips them off!!!
Taliban-ana isn't so much concerned with the issue of stealing intellectual property, s/he's ONLY concerned that it's the WTB&TS doing it to Squibb.
Hey Taliban-ana you might want to correct SixofNine's spelling too, or do you just brow-beat the peoples spelling who don't agree with you?
