Governing Body Living in Isolation
by ThiChi inall the governing body topics today got me thinking about brother franz thoughts on the gb living in isolation and the effects it has had on the sheep.
as an elder, you could sure feel the pressure when the co came around........... living in isolation".
...no persons are more protected from having their claims and decisions questioned, from having to face their questioners and answer directly and with proof, no persons are more detached from the problems and pressures of being family men, than the small group of men forming the governing body of jehovahs witnesses*.. *unlike the apostle paul, none of them has done any secular work in decades, most of them in half a century.

Can you believe this Kingdom Hall? NOT

it's weird but this thought came to me sometime way too early in the morning to make any sense then, and that was this discussion board is really a virtual model of the kingdom hall that we all wanted to see in real time but never will.. here, we have anyone get up on the stage regardless of sex, experience or rank, and they make their presentation.
it can be about, and almost always is, nearly any topic.

I know what you mean, and it still has its affects on me to this day. Why would you want to be around a bunch of “God disproved,” “slated for destruction,” persons? Everything they believe and practice is “detestable” to Jehovah, and their children will not be spared.
Thank God I am out of that rubbish now.

JW Bosses
by Liberated indo they close up shop for the holidays?.
as jw's we didn't mind having the day off and, judging from the holidays i was out in service as a new jw, most did not use that day to knock on doors.. but what if your boss is a jw and so are the employees, do they get the holiday off?
and go out in field service?

SixofNine: you hit it right on the head!! It’s the money that keeps them in line. I DA myself about a year ago. However, when I had an opening in my Division, I got a call from several Witnesses asking for my help to get in!! It was now acceptable to call them and meet them!!
At first, it made me mad. But why be like them? So, on my staff, I have three active witnesses (two very weak, however, playing the football pool, lottery pool, etc., I won’t tell, hehe) one inactive witness and I just hired one DF witness. It is a blast to interact with all, and I hear all the latest at the Hall.

I'm a/was a JW BOSS!! I still have JWs wanting me to hire them! I have "mixed them up a bit" some DA, DF and active!! It is fun here! When one places a WT on a desk, I place the Franz book right next to the WT!! The Elders are going nuts...................

Talk with a Governing Body member

a few years back while i was a jw i visited my sister and brother-in-law at bethel.
well, after the grand tour of crooklyn, the farm and having dinner with the bethel family i had the honor of attending the sunday meeting at a congregation where a couple of the governing body members attended.
