Hey Sis
I'm sorry, but I can't hear those words without hearing them in James Garner's voice....which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He has a very nice, deep, down home sounding kind of voice which I think suits the words.
Anyway, I like it....planning on taking a trip? Can I come?
Tracy
what would you call a person who drinks to the point of near-unconsciousness?
every week?
who can't deal with personal problems and/or set backs any other way?
((((Soledad))))
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Been there, done that. You've received some good advice, especially about getting counseling. You can SEE what his problem is, now you need to SEE how his problem has affected you and changed you.
My current husband and I both came from alcoholic relationships and families. He felt SO strongly about it he wrote a series of articles and established a website, including a discussion group. You may find some of the articles very interesting.
It is: www.empoweredrecovery.com
The ultimate decisions are yours. You have my sincerest best wishes.

yep, she does indeed.
tomorrow, may 28, is her birthday.
she's not sensitive about her age, so i can tell you that this is indeed a big one.
Her Ladyship Get's a Big One.
Really Eman....It's NONE of our business what you give her for her birthday!!!!

Happy Birthday Christina
it was the kinderkicks division and he competed against one other little boy but he won first place!
i am so proud of him but more importantly, he is very proud of himself.
i hesitated to enter him in the contest but he wanted to so bad and the way they divide up the kids, everyone takes home a trophy.
Wow, great job Rhys!!!!
And Rachel, you go girl! Those kind of confidence building activities stay with a kid for life. I'll bet there's a proud Grandma and Grandpa lurking around somewhere too.
Tracy
why do i need to sign these things?
i approached the main gates and looked through.
i looked up to see jesus approaching me, smiling all over his face.
WOW! You go Duncan. And you didn't even get struck by lightning, or visited by plagues, or anything else of biblical proportions by denying your "Uncle", did you? Verrrrrry interesting.
Tracy
this is a vent -- you have been warned!!.
i am so sick to death of the idiot.
i have three daughters (13, 11, 11).
Hi Blue,
I sympathize with your situation, I really do. I don't know about the state you live in, but here in Florida, you do not have to hire an attorney to file a contempt of court for non payment of child support. You can do it yourself at the courthouse with a little help from the clerk of the courts. Or there may be a state sponsored organization that will do it for you for a very minimal fee, like $25.00. The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they do turn. Get online, or call your local courthouse and ask for the child support division. They were very helpful in hooking me up with help, AND there was a court provided attorney that represented me at the hearing, didn't cost me anything.
I hope some of this info is helpful to you. Email me if you'd like to know anything else, or just to vent privately!

i remember walking home that night.
by the time i left school, it was already getting dark, and i decided to walk through the town centre and wander round the shops.
i took in all the christmas decorations and lights and colours.
Great post Duncan!
You've captured the lifelong feelings of inadequacy that religion instilled in us, and the cognitive dissonance we kept repressing. I am looking forward to more.
By the way, I got the "village hall" reference and understood what you meant. At holiday times, I too enjoy the sense of community, humanity shared, that comes from some events, no matter where they are held.

if i close my eyes i can be in my grand-parents living room again.
it seemed so big when i was little but i wonder now how me and my sisters used to fit in it along with our cousins, our parents and our grandparents.
i remember the tiny little stool i used to sit on - liam sat on it last time we visited my grandad.. i can remember us all watching the morcambe and wise show on tv and going out to play the the back alley.
((((Simon))))
I can relate buddy....not so much to looking back over the past...I'm a little melancholy thinking of all the changes going on in my life NOW. Seems kind of silly when I analyze it logically...but it's not logic that causes my heart to be squeezed and tears to spring to my eyes...and I'm one of those rare females who doesn't cry easily.
Ah well, I STILL live by one simple philosophy, and it's helping me get through this emotional time. Find something to enjoy in EVERY day. So far, I've been able to do that. Hang in there Simon.

I wish there were some magic words of friendship and compassion that we could offer you that would at least lessen the hurt you are feeling. All we can do is share in your pain, and hurt a little with you.
I don't know if this will be true for you, but for me, time passing does lessen the pain. I hope you will find this to be so. Hang in there.
