  Tribute to the Troops (USA)

  the following is a link to a slideshow prepared as a tribute to the military men and women protecting their country.

  yes it is focused on the us military.

  this is not about iraq or whether or not you like the usa.

  Simon,

  Watching a slideshow is not showing support to our troops....but watching it and then commenting on it to others who feel similar, or who have family in the military.....IS a means of support. As you well know running this board, people sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other is a WAY of showing and RECEIVING support. It can actually be a VERY important source of support to some. That doesn't mean we don't SHOW support in other ways....but Uzzah did not start this thread to ask for support for the troops. The title is simply "Tribute to the Troops". And that's what it is. Plain and simple.

  Thank you Xenawarrior. And don't worry, NO ONE could ever make me ashamed of my son. If you knew him, you'd understand why.

  My two week consulting trip to Bethel (the beginning of the end) part 2

  as we entered a door of the administration building we did not head to the elevator to take us up the eight floors to the main administration floor.

  i looked around the room and asked, "what's up with her?

  i was going to work with the elder from hell who ran the photography department.

Seriously, I'm sure you looked damn fine in your Armani, and I'll bet they had to give a "local needs" talk after you left warning the poor Bethelites against lusting after worldy things....and those poor deprived Bethelite sisters had to be warned against lusting after spiritually weak, materialistic brothers like yourself!

  she died peacefully in her sleep.

  You know I love you Sis. I hope the kids are coping...I'm more worried about Bill. Please let me know if there's anything I can do. If the funeral is on the weekend, I'd like to come, or if you need me to do anything for YOU. If big hugs help at all, I'm sending plenty your way. Can you feel it?

  Hi Uzzah,

  Let's start over again and pretend this is the first reply.

  I watched the slide show and I enjoyed it. Do you have family in the military? My oldest son is away at basic training right now, in the infantry, and I found the slide show paying tribute to them to be very moving. I know many of them TRY to live up to the ideals of courage, honor and brotherhood, ideals that I have no problem at all with my son emulating. Thank you!

  I passed my exam ! (... but 4 more to go)

  i'm now officially certifiable ... erm, i mean certified having passed my first exam:.

  070-315 developing and implementing web applications with microsoft visual c# .net and microsoft visual studio .net.

  i now have 2 more to do to get mcad status (ms certified application developer) and 4 more for mcsd (ms certified soution developer).
