that is what mrs thirdson said when i told her jws were in our road and didn't stop at our house.

it was only 80 today but the humidity made it feel over 90. sunday afternoon and i am sanding the deck rails at the front of my house.

They Skipped our House

a short while back i posted the conversation i had with two jw ladies where i challenged them to explain the doctrine (and pretty much the only unique doctrine) of 1914 from the bible.

well, last weekend another car group arrived in my road.

it was early saturday afternoon and i saw a car turning round using a neighbor's driveway.

that is what 2 jw ladies who came to my door recently told me..

to start at the beginning, periodically, these ladies have called and spoken to mrs thirdson but always on a week day.

mrs thirdson is always very polite and has accepted the mags saying that i might be interested in reading them but making it clear that we are christians and not interested in joining their religion.

Time and a new Granddaughter Heals

some things change and some things dont but time heals and we all move on.

going back ten years when i first left the watchtower, went through a divorce and started a relationship with someone who id later marry i went through a really strained period with my parents and some of my family.

when i married, no one from my family attended our wedding.

Few new Elders?

here's something i found interesting after researching the uk charity records from gill's thread "trouble in paradise.

" the trustees apear to be the body of elders.

most congregations that i knew had 5 to 7 names listed, some more than 10. when i checked the 8 congregations i had known growing up i knew most of the elder's names.

Another College Thread

nearly 30 years ago, i was severely criticized for deciding to go to college by many in my congregation and my "priviliges" were restricted as a result.. today, i am happy to say that the world has not ended and my son moved in to his college dorm.

in the last 30 years, without the "new system" we have all relied on trained medical staff for our healthcare needs.

it's a pity my oldest brother never became the doctor he'd dreamed of.

it's true the jw's have visited and more are to come (or will be present.

) actually, a pair of late-teen girls called when mrs thirdson was home.

in october-last we saw the 6000th anniversary of adams 30th birthday.

First Atomic Bomb and the Turquoise Cystals

with it being the 60th anniversary of the first atomic explosion and with visitors allowed to see the trinity site in a restricted area of the white sands missile range, i noted cnns report.

in part the story states:.

visitors stooped to pick up pieces of trininite, a radioactive, turquoise crystal-like material that was created by the blast.. .

our daughter was born yesterday.

mrs thirdson and baby firstdaughter are doing fine.. i haven't posted much in the past year.

i've been rather busy and life is going to get even more hectic.. 3rd (aka proud dad).
