it was used for ranging and used a telescope for its light work.

brinjen, if you ever were a witness to such atrocities as I have, you would understand an hope that deterrent would work. think of MI-lai and the repeat in Irac. and as a credit to the involved army, these were very isolated and prosecuted violations. But think if a harsher deterrent /consequence was enforced and publisized, the tempted crowbar rapists would perhaps stop before they get on the slippery slope of unstoppable insane human savagery.
if its the system fault it is indicted too. can it be shamed into reform?

It hurts to have these despicable cowards given any press time. I also see here a class (caste) warfare component. She was a lady in the improvement curve. It was showing contempt for advancement too. THis is an outragious crime, the sad part is that these ingrained attitudes are being exported and are showing up outside that sub-continent (follow the news out of Great Britain!). Any society that does not protect its most precious members must be sub-something.
question for WTBtS: how does this prove Jehovahs "SOUVEREIGNITY"? or power compassion of any GOD?
I hope the right deterrent will be used.

that's not to say that it can be legitimized, like the other 2 sexualities.
it does mean though, that a different approach needs to be taken as soon as pedo proclivity shows itself.

rip van winkle: yes, chemical castration can be reversed. In europe some years back a man that had undergone the procedure(s) had a doctore nullefy the drug effects and promptly offended again. The parent of the child smuggled a gun into the court room and blew the criminal away.
sexual predators should be permanently sequestered from society. wether its lust or mind-driven matters not.
we pay taxes to be protected from crime , not to have the police arrive half an hour later with a sharpened pencil and note pad.

The picture is realistic.-- Out standing in size, in close perspective are the "Publishers"* frontline workers. still using paper material ( still the future in the developing world ?). The lady is carrying the stuff as is the case in those parts. The kindom hall# chairs are not too comfortable either (too keep everyone awake)
lastly, The true reality of the Creator-God question is still sealed from us by a thick layer of safety glass. One translation calls this layer in EZEK 1:22 the "FIRMAMENT".
The creator ( if he will be proven) is firmly separated from the going - ons below. He is not jerking around with the movement of the chariot. But obviously can observe.
many here in this forum grapple with the ultimate question beyond this barrier, for there is a big disconnect from the 6 tiers organized and the 2 tiers of the fleeced that jw were/are involved in.

satanus, here is just an observation. In prosecution of sex crimes committed against under-age female victims in that french speaking province, the proviso is: a " under-age female who is NOT HIS WIFE"(or husband?) for the legal age there/here is/was 12 years. so the law (which is an ass) discriminates against singles. It seems the framers did not see the issue we see today . Song of Salomon 8:8 shows the shulamite at pre-puberty development yet requiring protection from the ilk of salomom et al.
perhaps some adults ( and there have been convictions of female sex pedo offenders too) never get over, and return to, the strong emotions of their mutual child-hood dalliances.
It is good that the issue has been brought into the open and children will be safer. All humane measures chould be taken to remove the threat to the innocent young. There have of course been cases of grave miscarriage of justice, witch hunts and of false memories generated in willing young pranksters.
Some scenes described in the NT could easily get the wrong person labelled as a pedo-phile, but certainly not as a sexual predator. there is a difference.
