just playing "devil's advocate" here, since the bible god kills his creation, his "children" and his "sovereignty" adversaries' en masse himself, why would his creation not reflect these 4 wonderful qualities? 1) eagle (wisdom) kicks rivals out of the nest, 2) lion (courage) kills rival offspring. 3) humans, (love) Israel kings killing all male predecessors' children . 4) bull (power) -- bull---!. Divine behaviour assures that only the ferocious survive.

How did you feel when you found out "the truth about the truth"?

so when you first found out specific facts about the organisation, how did you feel??.

the un membership.

we still do not know the full extent of the truth about "the truth", but when the "superior authority" flip flop exposed the brown colour book's ( "but every man a liar") content as matching man's certain output, my total commitment to wt disappeared. Not "my lord is late" reaction to get drunk, but: 1) see whether this is isolated and there can be reform, now, there is nothing to wt and it's doctrines but a shell, a profitable shell, shall we do something else?

Dear Syrian Refugees

welcome to canada from one immigrant to another !.

calgary is welcoming it's first refugees from syria and iraq so tomorrow i'm going to take all the winter clothing that we have and donate it to a women / children's charity.

it's not much (well, actually, it's a huge pile ... everything from when we first moved over!

so looking at those turbans, there are 4 with such top headgear in the new 31 member cabinet in Canada. that is 13 % for a group that makes up an astonishing 1.4% of the population. Is this 10 fold advantage of newcomers a sign of more to come? With sound fertility rates and extended family reunification (uncle just arrived), wait until the lower turban wearers starts voting en bloc too. A melting pot with a hardcore surface at the top only. compound interest of the majority? so, if JWs lived in ghettos and voted strategically, could they have had 4 Truth-d'eau cabinet ministers too?

The new arrivals are done right, already have permanent residence status upon landing, right to work, more like regular immigrants, granted entry by jumping the que because their dire need. It is hard to draw parallels between the arrival of the white colonizers/ conquistadors to the massive wave of mono-religionists now. Experiences from Europe have shown it is not all positive, Rotherham vs Residential Schools?

If a nuclear holocaust, (or any other kind) took place today (took = past tense) Then the bible is proven wrong again ( god did not destroy those destroying the Earth). proves that the wt Bible tracts are wrong too. but I know this, so I must be alive, perhaps spirit now, or a species like the 3 Hebrews in the fire. and I survived outside the hall unlike the Philippinos. unlikely, all of it.

Am I recalling this correctly? Ray Franz depicted in WT as dying at Armageddon?

i seem to recall years ago that someone posted some watchtower "art" with a typical wiping out the wicked at armageddon scene - you know, city blocks crashing to the ground - guy with a gun, cars falling into crevices, and there was a middle aged guy with his eyeglasses/spectacles hanging off his face led dead in the foreground.. it was suggested that in this was supposed to be ray franz.

not in words but in what the character drawn looked like.

a sort of sick "in-joke" for schroeder and jaracz worshippers in the writing department.. am i dreaming this?

Since Ray Franz must have been of the partakers, depicting him as dead would be scripturally correct, according to the latest "generation" light of the wt.

Since all the "anointed" are raptured at that time, will not survive Armageddon, will pass away, why not picture their death?

BSW, "Jesus" said the generation will not pass away. will survive. wt wrong, again, what else is new?

What's More Important...Taking care of immigrants or the needy in your country?

i say take care of the needy ones first like our veterans and homeless and mentally ill, and then....take care of those not from this country.

There just has been a landmark German court case, brought by an unemployed migrant with several children who has won the right to receive full lifetime benefits, because he lived 6 month in that country just "looking for work". This is a dangerous precedent, neighbouring countries will lose (and are losing) large portions of their most fertile citizen. clever and free ambulance chasing lawyers in Canada too can take such cases all the way to the top cort, challenging the very legislations that threatens their base.

I have seen a "refugee" claimant standing on the American side of the yellow line at a border crossing, and a lawyer already present to get him to have his shout of "refugee" recognized to cross that painted border line. It will take years to remove frivolous claimants; cheaper to just pay the benefits, that over all exceed Canadian senior low income help. Germany, that you cite. a different system, more rigid, but generous for all comers. and in both countries a major organized crime problems* replicating conditions these migrants fled from. Generous countries importing the troubles of the world, and financing it. Politics gone wrong. Making a mockery of the legal immigration process

Can somebody explain the songs and songbook obsession?

i've been out a while and have only put in a rare appearance at a memorial or brief visit at a convention/assembly to keep people off my back, so i haven't kept up on the songbook.

but one thing i've noticed that the org.

has been doing that they never did when i was in is all these "supplemental songs" that keep appearing.

DNcall "-- It's like shooting pool with a rope." I can not see how to bridge that gap across to the new generation. When I feel about heavenly music I trend toward Bach, but great melodies were written in the last 75 years, For some reason the wt retains melodies that were inspired by the dire conditions in the KZ camps, out-stubborning the SS guards musically. This might presage things to come for jws, but sometimes it seems that these ugly marches, minor key hymns are designed to condition, to harden the r&f for the things to come, fall in line for this. Can there be melodies written for the young that will generate the awe of the classics?
