God's Holy Spirit - Contradiction?
by sincerelymine inhere's the backstory: a jw posted a thread in /r/debatereligion basically allowing the community to ask him anything.
things got realer than he expected, i think.
someone brought up the failed predictions and asked if they would qualify as false prophecy(1 john 4:1).

welcome. good point it explains why the bible too is full of errors. When building a religion on such basis, errors will inevitably be compounded. wt is changing it's appearance the way you change avatars. (in your case for the better) -

450,000 UK child abuse cases in 2yrs
by GodZoo inmy lawd... filthy britain.. as many as 450,000 children are thought to have been abused in england in the two years up to march 2014, according to a major new report.. some 50,000 cases of sexual abuse were recorded by police and local authorities during this period, but the office of the childrens commissioner (occ) believes this is a major underestimate.. a study by the occ found that around 85 percent of sexually abused young people are not receiving help and treatment.https://www.rt.com/uk/323321-child-abuse-rise-family/.

BB: --"I cannot believe this a brand new phenomenon , did nobody complain before? Does the modern world give it room to prosper? It can not be a modern thing, but criminalizing brought it into the open. If the ancient bible standard interest you, the Shulamite, by description was a barely pubescent lady, her brothers worked to protect her from "interested" parties like the king, a pedophile by some definition, but not in this case a child abuser. I guess with a thousand demanding service, that would have reduced his ardour.
Modern, better standards?, raising the age of "child" to 17,18, broadening the definition of "abuse"will yield such numbers, and Rapists of all stripes should be removed. permantely

Who has more Zeal, wt or Isis?

Ozman : When I was a JW child, my mum told me she would rather let me die than for me to have blood transfusion.
an hour agoThe calculated cruelty seems extreme to our values, but I linked this BBC/ap story to show the parallel between the shunning custom of the wt arrangement and the Isis methods. The banishment, shunning, disfellowshipping, extreme cutoff between so close blood ties over minor, fleeting doctrine, procedure differences makes just as much sense. What a way to honour your mother. Ideally wt wants his adherents to have the same devotion to them that this young man or rather coward displayed, Big Man, shooting a captive, his mother no less, . big man. wt cowards too, in failure to allow free debate, defend their history, their current "truth",their injustices. symbolically try, advocate to kill, silence their exposers instead.

The Lion King meets Joel Olsteen... Thank you for putting this up gnd. david Splane must have a good day/night, or a day off. My little 3 year old daughter voiced it and danced to it, as she does unashamedly at the hall to all the music. -

Is the Watchtower organisation facing the biggest crisis of its history?
by slimboyfat inrecent developments make me think they might be.
the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.
one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

Originally the media refused to report the crime yeah it was like back to the WW2 days in Germany, when you had to listen to BBC to know what really went on and risk prison. As a boy I was used as a courier to deliver hand-built superhet radios that brought in BBC unlike the Volksempfaenger. They were traded for hams, hence the title Ham radios-not. Shame on the lot to sacrifice their young ladies to these invaders. If they are ever caught, and in court, Merkel should be indicted as a co-defendant. The callous disregard of the politicians for their own population and the media cover-up is stunning, even then it is not a question of punishment, but merely deportation, or beherps withholding of their welfare income? deportation to come across the border again?
sacrifice their young ladies, like biblical Lot's false sense of hospitality. is this what orientals expect of their hosts?
