  To be specific, this picture is a massive deployment of police against a demonstration of people that basically want protection against assaults perpetrated against hundreds of woman that night. The state has power, but not to protect its citizen. It was also revealed, that nationwide the police is under orders not to report any crimes by "refugees" to the media. Even in Canada, headlines were about Merkel's reaction, rather giving the details of the acts by these new arrivals. Even animals know how to protect their females and young. Germans are too trusting, and then often overreact in response. There was a way to help the victims of war, and bringing this element into your country was not one of them.

  Beth Sarim. of course. there is no direct comparison in the methods. I was trying to draw attention to the shared callousness toward dissenting close family members, children, parents as in this isis case. . Some might argue, that a quick death is prefered to a life long shunning, being despised by the ones you held so dear, over a doctrinal or leadership issue, that can change as quickly as hitting the publish button.

  BS: "-"But I have to give ISIS the upper hand.-" agreed, but why is that? do their members have more faith in their after life, paradise doctrines? are the 70 virgins more inviting then a no marriage, panda petting only paradise?

  Has not blondie dug up at least one article where it is implied that the only hinderance to wt stile executions of apostates is the laws of "caesar". The unfortunate mother was termed an apostate to merit the sons' bullet.

  things got realer than he expected, i think.

  someone brought up the failed predictions and asked if they would qualify as false prophecy(1 john 4:1).

  welcome. good point it explains why the bible too is full of errors. When building a religion on such basis, errors will inevitably be compounded. wt is changing it's appearance the way you change avatars. (in your case for the better)

  BB: --"I cannot believe this a brand new phenomenon , did nobody complain before? Does the modern world give it room to prosper? It can not be a modern thing, but criminalizing brought it into the open. If the ancient bible standard interest you, the Shulamite, by description was a barely pubescent lady, her brothers worked to protect her from "interested" parties like the king, a pedophile by some definition, but not in this case a child abuser. I guess with a thousand demanding service, that would have reduced his ardour.

  Modern, better standards?, raising the age of "child" to 17,18, broadening the definition of "abuse"will yield such numbers, and Rapists of all stripes should be removed. permantely

  Ozman : When I was a JW child, my mum told me she would rather let me die than for me to have blood transfusion.

  The calculated cruelty seems extreme to our values, but I linked this BBC/ap story to show the parallel between the shunning custom of the wt arrangement and the Isis methods. The banishment, shunning, disfellowshipping, extreme cutoff between so close blood ties over minor, fleeting doctrine, procedure differences makes just as much sense. What a way to honour your mother. Ideally wt wants his adherents to have the same devotion to them that this young man or rather coward displayed, Big Man, shooting a captive, his mother no less, . big man. wt cowards too, in failure to allow free debate, defend their history, their current "truth",their injustices. symbolically try, advocate to kill, silence their exposers instead.
