Finding time
by Jordandemm inis it possible to full time pioneer while working a full time job without making up the hours?
i know of a brother who recently got married too a pioneer the guy was really desperate to get married because his wife despite her many 'spiritual credentials' has very few christ-like qualities unfortunately, anyway that's besides the point.
he is a pioneer now and i'm sure he will be a ms soon the organisation likes that type of stuff the 'pioneer couple' so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

It all depended whether you considered yourself as an a) hourly paid, or b) salaried employee. For special pioneers in the wt society's mind it was even c) piece work, for, in the monthly report it asked " how many disciples have you made?" but, we were not even seeding, we were plowing in some places. -

The Forgotten Ones
by ToesUp injust curious...is anyone hearing the older/infirm ones speaking out to others on how they are being treated in the congregation?
without giving anything away, i have spoken to so many older ones (some are sickly or can't drive in the evening or can't drive at all) who can't make it to all the meetings, assemblies, etc., that are complaining on how they are being treated by the more righteous ones in the hall.
the ones i have spoken to make the comment that it seems to be the younger elders that have less empathy and concern for these ones.

by JW_Rogue inso as some are probably aware the january study edition has two articles on the anointed.
one basically discouraging people from believing they are anointed and another about how ones should view partakers.
this photo is from the second article:.

I wonder if the apostles had similar sombi stares as the wine was passed. Here is the greatest sacrament of the christian religion, and look at the wt version. they are showing their aversion. -

So if then by some remote chance the "book of bible stories" you mock is accurate, there will be a heavy price to pay. well do not all here wish it would have been accurate, a few lucky hits perhaps. Please, consider, Earth existing since the big bang, talking snakes, water above Everest 2000 BC, walking on water, resurrections, who is going to believe this? take it seriously? -

MMAUB: There never has been a bona fide judgement, like the one you are threatening with, but read on in your book of bible stories. but I admire your conviction, and share your perceived desire to have a secure life. -

Mmaub, Given the improbability of wt-described judgements, I imho stick to the proven deist idea, that the issues discussed above, will be sorted out by the working out of natural laws which govern the universe. who is to say that a segment of the population endowed with great talent will not benefit a society by not being burdened with all the accoutrements of procreation? -while also not being deprived of the pleasure of fulfilling their hormone driven desires? -

maybe past if God judges them worthy. You see God will be the judge if they are right or wrong,
Makemeanunbeliever, We saw the kind of judgement you might be talking about. For the record: open your "Proclaimers" book to page 426, this shows the year ~1919, when "god" judged the wt to be the F&DS. on the basis of this prophetic teaching: "The world has ended. Millions now living will never die" " nie sterben"
Judgements like that are scary.

Why I'm not agnostic
by Coded Logic ini think the time to be agnostic is when you have evidence on both sides of a claim.
for example, i'm agnostic about the existence of a historical jesus.
i think a reasonable case can be made that jesus was a man who was turned into a legend over a period of a couple of decades.

35569659 On BBC is an article on rare minerals that has bearing on this "guided" (directly or not) argument;-- It mentioned that conditions have to be so"right'" for some of them, that only a thimble full exits on the whole globe. Why is it unthinkable, that for life too, a pre-set of similar instruction, or set of circumstances exists in the natural laws, that led to us being here, without any further direct action by a deist creator? If one of those half-thimble full had propagated, would it not be a rare anymore but have colonized the whole planet.?
