  Overlapping gen teaching- Help?

  hi friends,.

  can someone please help explain to me the overlapping generations teaching?

  i have not been able to grasp this one or what it even applies to?

  According to wt, the only ones that will not pass away, never die, are the Other Sheep, in the Great Crowd. but They are not the generation at all, the overlappers and underlapped are the anointed, who will pass away. or be raptured before all these things, including the biggy, Arm-a -geddon, arrives.

  thoughtlessness of jw writing committee can be seen in building their “great” teaching of universal issue.

  they took lord’s prayer as the basis for this teaching.

  they thought god’s sovereignty was challenged by satan, thus his name was tarnished, hence jesus taught his name to be to “be sanctified.”—mathew 6:9..

  elbib, very interesting thoughts, but you still instill in "Jesus" saviour-like qualities. Have you thought about the possibility, that we are perfectly normal creatures, needing no ransomer? that the talking snake story is a myth,? If you were ever hungry for a long time, you would pray for bread, rice or potatoes too. rather than giving thanks as we do now.

  i remember hearing that the anointed that died would start ruling at the start of the thousand year reign.

  now it seems they are teaching that these deluded bozos that die get to rule right now in heaven.

  when did this teaching change?

  I recall, and we have to wait for blondie's confirmation, that the heavens (for heavens's sake) were only cleansed by 1918, and it is into these spanking clean spaces that the heavenly resurrection proceeded. The resurrected anointed are training, participating in the kingdom work, and of course preparing for combat at Armageddon,- slated to happen not later than 2075., according to the "double Franz" overlap.

  I apologize if this is a silly question, but did the 1000 year reign start in 1914, or does it only start at Armageddon?

  Not silly at all, because the 1914 kingdom, invisibly, is a pure wt invention, a rogue kingdom that is not the theme of the Lord's Prayer,

  The Hunting Ground Netflix Documentary , Sexual Assaults on Campus

  "this documentary expose` tackles the disturbing epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses and school officials efforts to cover up the crimes.".

  it also highlights how institutions , sport ,religion ,the media , law enforcement , and financial concerns are all complicit in this cover up , blaming the victim while protecting the perpetrator .. their are so many similarities to what occurs in the jehovah witness /watchtower religion .. i highly recommend you view it if you haven`t already seen it , and if so please comment on it .. smiddy.

  It is beyond me, why the police is not called in right away on any of these crimes. I am glad I am not sending a daughter off to college this year. A Canadian Uni made the victim sign "conduct instructions" that forbade them to discuss the "incident" with any outside agency. At least on campus, the predators do not target minors, but close.

  The Germans have an appropriate name for situations like that:

  Theists, why does God allow suffering..

  ..specifically, the suffering of animals.

  you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

  i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.
