james, you make a point I did not think about. The speedy haste with which sloth, coala bears, pandas, turtles, returned to their native land after the flood, can now be explained by the cold in the rarefied atmosphere of mt. ararat. May be we cant find any wood there, because it was used in the fires to warm the disembarking -disarching?- passengers? or fashioned into sleighs to slide down the slopes?

james, I did not mean of ararat, but everest, even then, with all that biomass, living or not, (think of the steaming dung accumulating for nine month), and the latent heat from the fall of the water canopy, overheating, not outside cold would have been the problem, of course, ever since the writing of this fable, the credibility of that story has been going downhill all the way from 15 000 feet. quite a slide.

When it comes to shooting police officers, it has a ring of warfare to it. Many of the civilians killed by the law, had already a criminal history, and their death was a disaster waiting to happen to them, these targeted cop killings, by trained killers (army , marines) raises the killings by criminals to a new level. laws or not.

The ark (if any) would not float at stratospheric levels, she would be floating at sea level, the new sea level. The atmospheric pressure in the slightly stretched atmosphere, would not be less than climbing to the second floor. It would also not be colder, oxygen starved, but really hot. study your physics.
why are so very few of jesus actual words recorded exactly?.
the new testament is almost entirely written in greek.. jesus spoke aramaic.

You would think that a creator that makes it possible to have shapes of animals preserved for millions of years in amber, would do the same for sayings (if any) of the co-creator, his " special son" , if they were meant to be life saving, a cure-all . They are obviously not.
