Zeb, yes, I think it is outrageous that the old, the handicapped are targeted, or worse. the young, Yet in nature, predators follow that pattern, opportunistically. and: The Governing Body dabbling in the latter day forbidden fruit, "time" and appointed times, exposes them and their spiritual dependants to divine outrage too, (remember this is under the humour section). What is the purpose of life?
by slimboyfat inwhile reading the magazines the other day it occurred to me that jws never really had a very good answer to that question.
because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".
i think that is a faulty analysis of the situation.

what do you think of the new understanding of , " this generation " they seem to go in circles on this one big time , once 1914 generation was almost gone they said they didn't know what it meant and now in the new publication the generation includes the second generation after 1914 .... i agree they don't know what they are talking about and this is just another control move .

Because: according to Jesus, the generation will not pass away, will survive the end'.---but the wt anointed will all not survive to even see armageddon, none will survive it, because they are called to heaven before, to fight there. so, the generation must be the OS not the anointed.

Then it occurred to me, that in the bible story, god actually did that, over one stolen fruit, he assigned to certain death billions of humans, and even changed the peaceful habits of animals to voracity. so, am I excused from my over reacting? There were plenty of more fruit, and future crops on that tree, and a replacement card is only a few sheckels?

2 logical problems with the wt anointed generation in this week's "kingdom rule" study at the hall:
1)The anointed are the generation and jesus meant two overlapping groups . did he really ? Typical of the groups, is Frederick Franz, who spend ~ 90 years before his death in 1992 in wt service, if you add ~90 to 1992 you get ~2075. (to use a second generation Franz)
2) The paragraph 17 said the generation would pass before all the things jesus predicted would come to pass,(including Armageddon, the end) aka "culmination of the Great Tribulation". But then paragraph 18 switches to talking the anointed seeing only the beginning of the great tribulation.
Here is where the logic of wt breaks down, because jesus clearly said the generation, anointed or not, overlapping or not, would not pass away until all of the the great tribulation will have happened . jesus said the generation would survive the Great tribulation, wt illogically said they will not, that the anointed will die at the beginning, before it barely starts.
All participants were thoroughly confused, including the conductor, now wonder The obfuscation, the ill-logic, or sickening logic of wt was at work.

I can not forget that the Canadian Governments paid out at least a billion dollars in compensation to blood transfusion victims, and Canada is a small - population,-- low-litigation country. Blood transfusion only as a very last resort for me and the mine, when blood services again toying with the proposition to draw again from high risk groups.
