Does it argue for a creator, or does it argue for a cause?

I am satisfied that it is possible to have simply the right conditions for an ur-cause to exist,

I favor the view of a creator over a mere cause, for the extravagance in nature. If efficiency were the driving force, we would not have the ornamentation we see, the paper thin (10 m) rings of saturn, plumage of the peacock, the 10 in the bode law. all done by law.

Laws are the product of a certain intelligence. even if it is an ass'.

To those that point to perceived cruelty, misdesign in nature. I say: visit a slaughterhouse and see how much cruelty is imposed on lesser beings to feed you, or your offspring.

Limited use design seems to be a feature of the past.

schnell, the existence of creation argues for a creator, creation started at a point in time 13.8 billion years ago. Before that time, time was not schnell, but stationary and seemingly eternal. If there was no movement through the 4th dimension time, no causality as we know it now need to exist, and then an eternal creator would not need a cause. Many hypotheses about the origin of our particular universe now imply the pre-existence of time as a dimension and uf energy.

It is not time that is schnell, but we are. We are moving through time, schnell at any speed slower than c. The schneller we move through space the slower we move through time.

Yes, but that doesn't mean fill the gaps with God.

If there is a creator, the gaps were/are filled by/with god anyway, it is just that we, cleverly, have discovered how it was done. dis-cover = taking off the cover and peek. By looking at the results though, we can perhaps have a guess at the personality, the motive of a possible creator. The oldest covers are already beyond our horizon, defined by "c" to peek at.

We do know the answer to the first of those questions - all life evolved from a common ancestor over millions of years

Yes, but that not still leaves a lot to answer, in that first part, from the inorganic, pre-abiogenesis stage, back into time, even beyond our universes' beginning?

Sheep and the Goats - The Light Gets Brighter

perhaps some of you remember a new understanding of the sheep and the goats in the epic march 2015 wt study edition - specifically the article "loyally supporting christ's brothers".. while this article was studied many months ago, it was instrumental in helping me wake up.

during my study of the 2015 article i recalled that we had just revised our understanding of the sheep and the goats a few years ago and this caused me to research the real progression of the jw understanding of this parable.

i put the results of my research in an excel spreadsheet.. .

Fisherman, good points, but Jesus in Math 12:50 defined His Brothers very broadly, saying : everyone that does the will of my father is my brother. which at the least would include all the second class "other sheep" jws. earthly hopers. further, Jesus saying "the least" would exclude any attempt of currying favoritism, angling for advantages from the few favoured ones.( the GB is the dispenser of divine favour, so they say).-- The 144 000 are secretly sealed by angels, so, nobody would know that a humanitarian deed happen to be done of one of them. The sheep are surprised that they did it.

Doing a deed for the benefit of the organisation does in no way fit the description of what jesus said.

Same for rivers, they are carved out just where the water needs to go.

It is not the material, but the laws in our particular universe that are so shaping. Rivers move fastest where there is a restriction (unlike traffic, that stalls). The faster flow causes abrasion, and over time evens the flow. The same law, seen in the Venturi effect is also is one of the 4 reasons, why wings can lift us into the sky.

Love the laws that squeezed through the big bang.

The bespectacled foreground scene just shows what a drag the service is, while life goes on in it's exciting journey, wt is still mired in the time molasses stretching back to 1914, of course things will look strange from that perspective.

At the mouth of 2-3 witnesses a matter is established .Gods word the bible proves a generation is 50 years +, or - 5 years

jehovah`s witnesses make a big deal about the 2 or 3 witnesses in judicial decisions yet they ignore that evidence when it suits them.. firstly :.

regarding the length of a generation matthew ch.1:17 gives a strong clue ,their are 3 lots of 14 generations mentioned which equal 42 generations from the time of abraham to jesus .. watchtower publications give abrahams birth as 2018 bc......they also give jesus birth as of 2 bc a period of 2016 years .

as I said on another thread: the wt generation is an anointed generation with 2, perhaps more overlapping groups, Anointed means the 144 000 of Rev. 14, the "- undefiled with woman-" The Freddy Franzes, that are not held to the reproductive father, son, grandson generation model, and then these are the sterile wt groups, wt:--oops.

added: Jesus of course said that the generation would survive the destruction and would go on producing . the wt anointed generation, as charted, is supposed to be dead before the destruction, taken to heaven. From its conception, the wt anointed generation was a bible-doctrinal stillbirth, , the end of the 1914 line.

as all j-dubs know, whenever someone complains about how long the "new system" is taking too arrive, they use the excuse that jehovah works on his own time.

quite a few times during the public talks, i've heard speakers say the phrase "1000 years to us is only one day to jehovah" (my parents never stop talking about this).

James, imagine if you lived forever, the shortening of the time impression. It affects the reaction time too, perhaps that is why prophecies are never fulfilled, wt puts them too close. The overlapping generation groups end at ~2016, that is only 2 and 1/2 hours away, awake! waky waky. or wacky?

2 Peter 3:8 - ".........one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." King James Version

According to this, god's time observation would both be very detailed, like in slow motion, and rapid like in a sped-up film. Acts 1:7 says we can't understand time, and scientists agree, is it a 4th dimension? or just sequencing of events, locations?. An eternal creator would not live in a knife-edg -size "now" present, of a non-stop movement through time - as we do, and if he really inspired the bible or the GB, he would do so in understandable, true terms, which he has not done. obviously. or?

The fast part of the scripture debunks the slow part, that jws like to use as an excuse for their failed prophecies.
