Millionaire JW Elder hypocrite?!
by Alostpuppydog inso i know one should remove his own stick from his own eye before ones self judges another, but i noticed something.
it seems that the wealthy witnesses are the elders, the circuit overseers, the governing body... are they really different from any other 'worldly' religions or even organizations?
i mean look at the jewels the friggen pope wears.

k99:--"The WTS has never condemned wealth in itself or required a life of privation--
of course wt has not condemned wealth, how could they, wealth is central to their position, and their strength, but they have emasculated their workers, robbed them of the opportunity to get a grip on reasonable advancement by stealing the best years of their lives. Wealthy elders? naturally, done everything right to be wealthy, good managers, useful in any organisation like the wt. The real treason comes in, when such individuals go on the platform and take their " be a watchtower slave, pioneer during high school, right after high school, and while you raise your kids--" part, because look at me, I am sometimes on the pioneer list, and I am on the platform, and you are not.

if people get left behind be careful
by pepperheart inin this world there are becoming two sorts of people the ones with stupid amounts of money and the ones with very little money and the people in charge are going to get even more shocks if they dont share the money out in a more fair way.ive seen in the press that obama will be getting a house that costs over $4 million dollars and how many people are having to live on basic wage.there is plenty of money going around its just not shared out enough, rather than a lottery giving out a prize of $50 or $100 million dollars just think how many people would be blessed if that was dividid in $50,000 prizes and there would be more chances to win as well.some people have to work for a whole year or even two to get that amount of money .

One of the worst offenders in leaving people behind of course is wt. employing full time workers aka "servants" without pay with a promise in a stake in a non-existing paradise hope, based on a talking snake story (minus the oil).

Election Post-Mortem
by Simon ini'm sure many people, republicans included, are shocked at the results of the 2016 presidential election.
really, wtf!.
the polls were wrong and although it's tempting to blame voter suppression and fbi interference, that would just avoid looking at the real issues for the loss.

nswtg: "All depends now on how Trump and NATO get on...NATO without US are goosed and Europe will be there for the taking by Putin....and he knows it.
Perhaps the hawks that will surround Trump , will get his temper up when Russia keeps pushing into territory that he by law is obligated to defend. all he demanded during the election speeches was to have Europe take on more of the defense effort, a good idea, given the first class job that Russian propaganda, education has done to smear the real benefactors in the post-era mess, the USA, and to eradicate the memory of the war, crimes .ethnic cleansing against millions of Poles, germans. perpetrated by the soviet regime.

Sam Harris on Trump - The Most Powerful Clown
by cofty inharris is at his incisive best in his latest podcast.. he likens the situation to being on an aeroplane where the pilot has died and somebody with no experience of flying has grabbed the controls.
we should all be committed to his success.
prize for the best line goes to - "caligula with a iphone".. even if you love trump and despise harris you should appreciate his clarity.. waking up with sam harris....

If you read about trump's dealings, you discover that he is a very flexible operator, he might just emerge as another quasi Reagan, unbeholden to anyone but himself, able to at least fulfill some of the wishes that the voters projected onto him.

with a mandate like his, Potus, Senate, House and soon SCOTUS, he could smother the creeping divide by amending the constitution to make English the only language allowed at any level. No more beef patties named after Hamburg, the german harbor.

JWs and nuetrality - Trump
by Listener infor those that are receiving messages of doom and gloom from jws, they might like to remind them about obedience to their organization and what they were told in the april, 2016 watchtower which was studied only a few months ago, in august.these are some of the highlights-.
although the bible teaches that god’s adversary, satan, has authority over political systems, it does not say that he directly controls each leader or official.
(luke 4:5, 6) we should therefore avoid implying that a particular official is controlled by the devil.

The beauty of jw neutrality is that they can be neutral, until their favourite candidate starts showing winning numbers, then the cheer, internally

Baptism 1973 and 1985 Questions hmmmmmmmmmm!
by Beans ini was doing some research and noticed that the baptism questions were changed several times over the years.
the questions in 1973 were as follows: *** w73 5/1 280 baptizing follows discipling *** if you feel the same about serving jehovah god and taking christs yoke upon you, we suggest that you consider the following two questions, which are asked of candidates for baptism:.
(1) have you repented of your sins and turned around, recognizing yourself before jehovah god as a condemned sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him, the father, through his son jesus christ?

In fact a sin against the Father or the Son is easily forgiven -- but a sin against the Organization is not forgiven.
copied this from the link. Organisation = H spirit, so: sin against the organisation can never be forgiven. ramifications.
