  think about it this way: in wt re-enactment memorials, partaking is all about going to heaven. but if that were the case,

  why did Jesus NOT partake before or after the passing of the bread, the wine? -- (of course they all ate and drank at the passover meal)

  The reason is that the emblems are about the NEW COVENANT which is for forgiveness of sin. heartfelt spirituality.

  Catholics did not get the wine, WT BtS inc. took it all the way, taken bread and wine away except for the clergy, eh, anointed,eh fds.

  2x2=(4+1) thank you! you see: this how it will happen:

  1) you try to make things interesting by novel ways of looking at it and expressing it.

  2) the establishment elders will feel challenged (pharisees always are) mentally.

  3) they will not allow, FORBID you to make any "heartfelt comments" (your suggestion) "meaningful comments" 'well thought- out comments" ( wt quote) AT ALL.

  4) now you will have even more time time to think and research the left field, the out-of the Box Bible the domain. when pushed to far

  5) you will be able to use the good & generous office of sites like this to spend your suggested but unreported "service" time.

  6) then the establishment elders will feel even more challenged, particularly when considering the world wide bean count. dicussing partaker/observer ratios etc.

  the word is mightier than the sword (or OTHER silencing mechanism of repressive regimes) such as shunning.

  There was only I anointed present with an assured heavenly kingdom destiny but HE did not partake. but served as server only.

  What went wrong? now at wt-sponsored replays of the event its the other way around,

  The Jonadabs/OS abstain, and the "anointed" hopefulls partake!

  In Acts 12 is described a post-pentecostal passover night. mention of early christians meeting, but not celebrating the Lords evening meal as an yearly event there.

  The counting of memorial attendees and partakers is a latter-day R&R, FDS, WT BtS invention. its flawed .

  New Light gone wrong?, mixup, blurring of new- and kingdom covenants?

  explaining this paradox/ reversal will show you what was really meant.

  Aguest, thank you, I tried to keep it simple to those steeped in WT BtS sauce only.

  You wrote: "Judas partook" if he did, he abscondet by his traiterous action and lost it. (once saved always saved is wrong) My simple point was that the apostles were served and partook, although they had an earthly hope. Jesus said nothing to correct that. Acts 1 had them asking about an impending Davidic kingdom in Jerusalem. he sidestepped the answer to that question.

  When I said "all christians" I meant all present on Nisan 14.

  I did not want to define "christians" or adress the practise in some sect to only serve the bread.

  The hand-wringing about the count is a diversion from the real issue raised by

  John 6 : how do you have "--everlasting life to be resurrected in the last day" if you do not partake of the bread and the wine?

  A guest: please accept a simple reasoning into your deeply thought-out understanding: you said: "---partaking puts one in line --to be anointed--". Looking at

  the last supper appears to yield this idea: Jesus passed the bread and wine to the disciples with an EARTHLY hope. The CUP OF THE NEW COVENANT, gives only FORGIVENESS of sins. Jer.31. The partaking gives the drinkers, eaters right to everlasting life.

  They have to SACRIFICE that right, as Jesus did, to gain IMMORTALITY. thats why

  Jesus proposed the KINGDOM COVENANT with them some time before and AFTER the last supper.

  All christians should partake. so:

  Why so few JW partakers? -- because they are told (wrongly) partaking is about heaven.(it is not) its really about forgiveness of sin.

  If the "after hours" partakers would be counted it, would be more accurate.

  the whole thing is a charade a carricature of what it was meant to be.

  even then IF it (Bible fables) have relevance at all.

  .7% population growth in the US? does that include "undocumented" residents? They may count in the Foreign Language Field of WHA HAPPENED, but not in the US Census. The only real growth in on sites like this that Have JW or WT in their title.

  whathappened, stillin, even if there is a divorce for adultery the suffering of unfulfilled needs can go on because of WT BtS inc rules.

  If the innocent ( wronged) partner (like Uriah) does not agree, the offending former mate (Bathsheba) can not remarry.

  I remember a handsome, gentle Brother ( a real catch) that was kept hanging in the wind for years by his former, resentful, unforgiving wife, using this WT BtS inc rule to punish him.

  May be that why david had Uriah killed. he was anticipating theocratic rule.

  It is a cruel world in the congregations, even worse among those that advocate untrammeld evolution, survival and breeding of the fittest and most attractive only.

  You have only one life to live. reject control, live it as happy as you can.

  our four day assemblies in the 1970's through the 1980's were pure torture.. they were held at a horse race track in cicero,il in the smoking hot and humid month of july.

  they charged around $2 for parking.

  last not least: I met my wife of 20 years at a DC. planned it that way. still have a photo of the moment we met.

  The talks are immaterial. Even after wt bs inc is gone, people will enjoy meeting. gathering. airshows? Concerts.

  in the Israel of God there are no EARTHLY priests.aka more anointed then the anointed, even if it feels good to think so.

  I have a feeling there are a lot of the tribe of Joseph on this forum, rejected by those that dont know YET that they are not Other Sheep but
