What made you turn atheist or agnostic?

if you were a jw and are now an atheist or agnostic, what was the tipping point that made you turn to it?.

the reason i ask is i have noticed that many who leave the jw's seem to turn to atheism, versus still having some form of a faith.

have many of you given up on god first or have you had atheistic views first and then found atheism to be true.

Why would we expect to have personal benefits beyond the great gift of life and all it's great possibilities? should we expect to be able to harness the services of a creator for our personal benefit beyond what is provided through the energy, matter, space, time and laws that can work so well for us? why is it so hard to play with the deck of cards we are dealt! -- should the rules of the game be suspended, even magic tricks performed in order for us to win to the detriment of others?

As we narrow, close the "gaps" of knowledge, how things work, how it was done, will become clearer, and we can improve in our works too.

How long will Paradise remaineth? Does Genesis 8:22 give us some kind of inidication?

although jehovah's witnesses believe that paradise earth will remain forever, why does there own watchtower library 2014 software state otherwise?.

Wooly Mammoths

a jw came to my door a while back and used wooly mammoths as evidence for noah's flood.

he was a bit older, so i thought this must be some oddball out-of-date teaching of jehovah's witnesses.

i could remember something in the insight book about frozen mammoths, but not much else.

The frozen Mammoth is a canard, red herring, because the fall of a water canopy would have resulted in an immense energy release, it would have been resulted in steamed, boiled buried Mammoth instead.

Orgone Energy and Jehovah's Witnesses

just a little process writing ... with a some tongue-in-cheekiness tossed in.

i pulled out my copy of this book, which i still have with all the highlighted answers and scriptures written in the margins when i was a tween and teen studying to get baptized.

my whole existence was based on the ideas in this book being real and true and i lived my life accordingly, sacrificing myself to the jehovah's witnesses organization, with nothing to show for it.

Did Reich live in Austria during the 3rd Reich? did he know that the other Austrian in that other 1000 year Reich had only one exposed ball? did Hitler only store 1/2 of his orgone energy? or is it all gone? currently history buffs in Europe are having a (1) ball with that.

Note the flip flop shown between the center DS chart and the yellow wt mag 1984. Note: In the Chart the anointed generation will not enter the Great Tribulation, are absent at Armageddon, but the yellow wt mag reads : " some of them will not pass away until all things occur. Not just the timing is wrong, the identity too.

Note that the life line for the generation stops prior to The Great Tribulation/ Armageddon field with David, in accord with their rapture teaching.

I have doubts... can you help me??- A new idea

i have been perplexed as to how to brung my wife out of jws and to exit the religion... but i had an idea last night.

i know that elders will legitimantly meet with brothers who have doubts and encourage them... not df them .. this is a sheperding call etc.. thus since my wife knows i have doubt s i could say: i want to have two brother over to discuss this ... she will agree.... of course i will hit these guys with biblical textual issues, an biology to where they are stunned and still ask... "so brothers... can you solve this conflict...?".

in this case they will not think of me as an apostate but may question their own beliefs... .

If you live in an area that has as its main male occupation, "Lumberjack", that is, swinging the axe, the result would be you getting the axe, rather than your wife becoming convinced of the truth about the truth. The elder's lack of knowledge on deep subjects, as a fact, might be already suspected by your wife, she needs not convincing of that. Elders hate nothing more than having their ignorance exposed, to be challenged, since their claim to fame, their authority is their wt appointment, and challenging the wt authority is a sure start on the road to df status. ,

Does the bible give the names of the the apostles wives.? good point, but the mothers of the kings in Israel were written, though few of the GB wives will be mothers, but I read the wife of Morris III is, from pre-Brooklyn days

Do you believe in a personal God?

there may be a god, but i doubt he has anything to do with us now.

i cannot reconcile concentration camps such as auschwitz, which i have visited, and people praying before their meal, thanking him, who did nothing.

here is an example: frank has a kid named johnny.

A personal God as outlined by Stephane Laliberte, does not exist for me either. but I feel there is nothing wrong to be thankful for existence, sustenance, joy, for it is a gift, though a temporary one from a possible creator.

re: pain and shoa, we have the capacity to abate pain, great work. and why did not the mighty US air force destroy the camps, transportation facilities? they precision bombed industrial targets just kms away.?

Rivalry among the sisters

when i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.

i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).

i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.
