So does the Almighty God Jehovah make mistakes, or is the society NOT his spokesman?

the society claims to be jehovah gods sole channel on earth - his spokesman.. if any witness disagrees with this claim, they are branded as an apostate and punished.. but the society has made countless errors over the century, and repeatedly changed doctrines and beliefs.

not to mention the appalling foundation teachings of the organisation's teachings!

so a simple question: is god making msistakes and getting things wrong, or is this proof that the society is not guided by god?.

I see parallels between the scientific method of developing a working knowledge of nature, and the religious efforts to explain it all. Most present religions, because they are based on past theories, but declared "holy" that can not be questioned, of divine origin, are actually proven wrong, superceded by what we know now through observation. So:

Religious experiments a la watchtower, putting doctrines out there to see whether they will match upcoming events are futile if based on these ancient, repudiated scripts. The creator has not by inspiration rvealed scientific laws, nor religious ones, otherwise these would prove fulfillment today.

the blame for mankind's sicknesses/diseases and consequent death has been placed squarely on the shoulders of adam:.

romans 5:12, 17 - 19:"therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—for if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man.......consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people........for just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners........".

1 corinthians 15: 21, 22:"for since death came through a man........... for as in adam all die.......".

Interesting thoughts that the talking snake precipitated genetic modification, not just a kind of one-dose poisoning, and that the chromosomal defect could have been reversed by treatment from the tree of life. The female seems to have kind of an immunity* though, even proven with the later story of the immaculate conception of Jesus added. I always thought that the ladies closely in my life were just perfect. Puzzling though, how the actions of Adam could have an effect back into time to retroactively affect the whole creation, that is now moaning, according to Paul,

the only way to get the attendance up would be to serve the wine and bread weekly and have every one partake (as it should be, as written in the bible) . the weekly attendance figures were the lowest in years here.

after having slept a little over this admission of error in doctrine and procedure in the past, perhaps the "governors" of the Faithful & Discreet Slave realize that they find themselves in a terrible situation, having inherited some valuable assets, but a doctrinal house of cards, that will have to collapse, perhaps in their lifetime.

They have responded by stopping the leaks, adding overlapping features to stretch, and supporting the whole by a lot of hot air. But the fervor, the energy the sense of urgency, of mission, (misplaced as it was) of the past is gone.

To move forward in a meaningful way, they perhaps realize that there has to be a cleaner break from the past, (not just re-writing history), letting the talking snake-oil cum wt edifice collapse, deflate, one way or another, and statements like in par. 13 are an indication that the preparations to do that, the use of the demolition charges, seacocks , rip panels, are seen as an unavoidable possible future action.

May be they picked the number 13 to symbolize their bad luck. 1 too far for organisational perfection, -- to be stuck with that wt inheritance.

so: do they claim it is The spirit that directs them to change doctrine, procedures, ? The action of change is from the spirit, but the result of the change is in error? The spirit says: "change that". but they are not told what to change, and in which way.? The spirit (or an apostate) tells them "this is wrong, change it" but leaves wt to a trial and error method to find the truth, eventually? In the meantime, millions of jws, are tacking, trying to find the right course? and The spirit says: keep "changing!!"?

The WTBTS' "Golden Calf"

in recent months i have personally experienced 3 times how jehovah's witnesses' thinking and ad hominem attacks are being molded by their masters in the wtbts.. 1) j.w.

family members have stated that i am no longer part of the family because i say "negative things" about the org.. 2) my closest friend in my former congregation complained several weeks ago that i was "finding fault" with the org every time we had a conversation.

nothing from him since.. 3) when reverse witnessing to an elder at a trolley recently, he accused me of "criticizing the organization.".

So why are they not inspired? 1) Because god does not inspire at all? Or 2) he does not deal with the wt wanna bes --yet? The groping in the dark of wt's understanding during the "birth of the kingdom in 1914" at their "Kingdom Rules" study certainly confirms that they are neither inspired nor error-free.

If this is factual: wow, Rutherford encouraging to sell war bonds, as a lucrative sideline no doubt, the crass mercantilism is possibly exposed once more. It shows too, that the well oiled juggernaut is not out because of being wrong, or at fault, or held to account by "god", or guided by the peaceful spirit that is supposedly "beyond all power that is normal" ; - wt prevails because it is big, not because it is true, or right. right?
