so...even before i left my parents arranged with the mother of my kids to fly her up and back and didn't tell me.

i am about to blow my stack and am not very happy after getting off the phone.

gadget was nice enough to let me use the phone to call them and let them know i loved them and missed them.

I am so sorry for what you are going through now, but please tell me more about your situation. I assume that you are divorced? Do you have a joint custody? How many children do you have? How old are they? What was the original arrangement with your ex-wife before she took the kids with her? How are your children feeling about your family being jws? Is your ex-wife a jw as well? When did you quit being a jw and why?

Sheesh! I'm asking too many questions, huh? That kind of tells how much I don't know about you. If you need to vent, VENT!!!!

just borrowed a wtcd from a friend................ i carn't believe a "non" profit organisation can do this or rather put restrictions on the the coping of the wt cdrom.

isn't there literature distributed free?

then why is make the copying of the wt library for the benefit of declaring the "truth" wrong!

Does it still have some literatures from late 60s and early 70s? I have a 1997 version, and it has very few literatures from those times except for some megazines. I guess they don't people to see their 1975 fiesco.

Wanted: Cheap housing, warm weather and part time work

well i think i finally have had enough of chicago.

sitting in traffic today for 2 hours just trying to get to work made me realize i'm wasting my time and my life doing things i hate.

so i've decided to look for a new home where the weather is warm, jobs are plentiful and the cost of living is cheaper.

It sounds like a dream place to me. I would love to recommend San Francisco Bay Area, but cost of living is not cheap. But the weather is warm, and jobs are OK depending what kind of jobs you are looking for.

valis arrived last night to stop for a few days, and i met him in town.

my parents still had my car from when i was away, so we had to find a bar to wait while they had the book study at their house then came to pick us up.

we managed to get rid of most of my fridge full of beer and had god fun chatting and carrying on all night

Yup, Sunshine, I think you can't help but be---at least a little bit.

I'll take it as you are still hurt. I'm sorry to hear that. However, you and I can see more clearly than any other people out there because of our experiences. Think of it as a medal of honor like a purple heart.

Looking for some help

i'm not a jehovah witness but my ex-wife is and so is her family there very devoted to the "truth" and her parents run her life and tried to run mine as well as my children's.. i'm a wheelchair user and i don't live as local as i'd like.

so far her parents have killed the marriage with pushing her to take our children to all meetings and conventions, using many excuses why she should take the children and as she is a devoted jehovah witness she listen's more to them then she ever did to me.

not letting me look after our children while she went to the meetings and knocking on doors trying to get people to listen she'd take them saying they want to see grandad/granny or the other children.

I don't know how it works in England. But here in the U.S., you can use some good lawyer. What she is doing is not fair, and obviously is damaging to your children. Try to get a joint custody at least so that you can see and have your children regulary. If you can get the full custody, it'll be even better. Problem is that she is going to get a lawyer through the watchtower society free of charge.

I do hope that you can get a lawyer who is willing to work for you for your interest and benefit.

I don't think we have "a baggage." We are hurt, but at the same time we are more experienced in religion and the Bible than most people out there. We do have "past", but I think we, at least I think I am, have become better people in a way. I'm more open minded, but at the same time know when to say, "No".

How Many Here Are "Technically" Still JWs???... Who's Not??

what i mean is according to the society, there are a number of persons that are "technically" "inactive" yet are viewed as jws still.

i'm sure that i'm viewed as a witness still because i am not df'd or disassociated.....what about you??
