Oh, by the way, Bleepy, please read "Crisis of Conscience". All the decisions that we thought they were made by the Governing Body, are not in fact made by the Governing Body. Some are done by the Watchtower Corporation which is made up with not-annointed JWs.

The book that will bring Ethics to the GB.
by Bleep inthe governing body may be too old to teach sex education.
but they are wise in other matters.. i have made a new topic since i slaughtered the book in the last topic of raymond franz.
do not forget that he made a mistake in being a 100% governing body thinker.. no organization at its early stages can live up to jehovah's expectations and no one is perfect.. please list some good ideas, ethics that the governing body has done here.

Bleepy, now you've said what you wanted to say, AREYOU HAPPY NOW?
I'm not trying to please the Governing Body at all. I am trying to please Jehovah
I felt the same way when I got baptized and when I was a JW for over 12 years. But I realized that it couldn't be.
The Governing Body tells you what to do and how to think according to their interpretation of the Bible. They say it pleases Jehovah. Will it?
When people get devastated by their mistakes, they just say that they are imperfect human being, that the people should still follow them, and that they shouldn't feel devastated because "it pleases Jehovah."
When the Silent lambs came out to public, they say that they are liars and apostates, and that we shouldn't talk about it to anyone else. A Dist. Overseer said, "If your conscience bothers you, then there is something wrong with your conscience." Do you think this is going to please Jehovah?
In the first century, as you may know, the Pharasees had tremendous power over people. They were priests, annointed. No doubt there were so many who followed the Pharasees because of that - because they wanted to please Jehovah, not the Pharasees.
Bleepy, you haven't answered my question from other thread. My question was :"Can you look into the eyes of one of the silentlambs ( the victims of molestation ), and say, "You are a liar and an apostate"?
Well, Bleep dear, what do you say?

Don't buy into Ray Franz's stumbling block.
by Bleep inray franz wrote, "i was baptized a jehovah's witness in 1972 (three years before armageddon came) and served as an elder for a good number of years.
all i can say is put franz book to the test for yourself.
1)he is making money off a dumb idea.. 2)he was expecting 1975 to be armageddon.

My dear dear Bleepy,
I'll take it as you really haven't read the book ( Crisis of Conscience ) yet. Either you read it or stop misquoting things from that book.
Hey, are you doing this just to get our attention?
Bleepy, isn't it past your bed time now?

NEW YORK
by worf ini spoke to the bklyn da's office today and explained some details about the pedophile coverup within the wts.i told him about the list of 23,720. he asked me if i had specific cases of child abuse from bklyn.
i had to tell him i don't personally know of any.therefore if anyone on this board knows about any wts pedophile cases from bklyn ny, please either call the bklyn da at 718-250-2340 or you can e-mail me at [email protected].
they did at least seem interested in this situation but it seems like it will take actual cases to convince them that something should be done.

Good job, worf!
I tried to help out the silentlambs, but because I didn't know any victim or case personally, it was no use. ;-( What a discouragement!
But if anyone has any knowledge or material that can prove, you guys should act now.

I thought there was no hearing at all because the elders were hiding from the reporter who was with Bill at that time.

How much before a person snaps?
by MrMoe injust wondering, cause i think i just may.
so how much pressure can a person take before they go insane?
what is the human mid capable of?
-
sunshineToo
MrMoe, don't try to take the pressure/stress all the way. Try to stop. You've got to do what's the best for you. You have to put your foot down, and say, "I can't take it anymore!" Find the cause and do something about it. I've been there. I could feel I was going insane. I just couldn't take it anymore. So I did somehting about it. Now I feel much much much better. :-D!!!

Religious freedom is being denied!
by tyydyy ini'm sure someone else has already thought of this but i wanted to see what discussion came from this.
i was raised as a jw and left at the age of 35. i still do the dance to keep from being disfellowshiped so that i don't lose all contact with my family.
the thought just came to me that as i went through my life my religious freedom was being denied by coersion.
-
sunshineToo
Well, technically if you are inactive ( not attending the meetings ), no matter what you do, you are not going to be DF'd. The rest is up to the family and friends who are JWs. Then again I'm sure they are going to be "counseled". ;-p
You must be going through a lot of emotional ups and downs. Been there and done that. I just came out. And I'm making new friends.
As far as religious freedom, you have to remember that you are living in a coutry that allows the freedom of religion. So it is all up to you.
