maybe all of us could attend next memorial ( if there is another..ha!)..and partake of the emblems...that'd raise a few eyebrows!..

Can an Anointed be Disfellowshipped by the Elders of Earthly Class Now?
by ProfCNJ inhi folks.
anointed jws have heavenly hope, including the esteemed privilege of reigning as kings and priests with jesus christ.
while they preach and share practially the same spiritual activities as members of the other sheep (os) do, an anointed jw has a greater distinction.. come now the disfellowshipping standards.

Exodus 24:10 - The Israelites saw Jehovah? Has this scripture ever been explained?
by truthseeker inhas anyone really pondered what this means?
jehovah said that no man can see god and live, and here at least 70 people saw jehovah standing on a bright blue pavement.
24 then the lord said to moses, come up to the lord , you and aaron, nadab and abihu, and seventy of the elders of israel.

jehovah himself said no man can see god and yet live....how was this info imparted to it's writer?....and therefore how can it be verified as from god?.. .(Ex 33:20).. all this god said stuff is circular reasoning if no one can 'see him'...... none of what I accepted as true when in makes any sense to me now I'm out...very good points made above by processor....

I'm inclined to think that the well worn phrase 'abstain from blood...' could have referred to blood shedding..not ingestion of blood. ..

God tells moses?...how did moses know it was god talking (!)..all smoke and mirrors.. as for john 1:18..how could john say that ?...how did he know for sure?? I note that nowhere does Jesus say god cannot be seen.....

How could they differentiate between a vision and the real thing?...how would they have known?

BEING SHUNNED
by JOHNROSS93 inafter almost 40 years of being shunned by close family members, it never gets easier.
my own mother is under the spell of the "organization" and won't even write to me.
for a long time i sent her things - cards, news articles of interest, jokes, etc - i finally gave up.

shunning has never made much sense to me...it seems to be based on treating people coldly and that way the ones shunned will want to come back ...but..if I want butterflies in my garden I plant things they like and that way attract them...shunning works in reverse..it is unbelievably cruel and is something I could never imagine 'jesus' would endorse....or practice...

If you don't like being a Jehovah's Witness then leave....
by Quirky1 inif you don't like being a jehovah's witness or going to the kingdom hall or the society then leave.... it's as simple as that... .
i left several years ago and have not been hounded, bothered or sought out by anyone.
i still see them from time to time, and yes, they do pour out the love bomb when you run into them, but eh, you know what?

..thank you FlyingHighNow..have always and will always love them...just those thursday evenings getting them dressed up for evening meetings when they would rather have stayed home on schoolnights..and sundays when half the day was spent preparing to go to meeting and then coming home and reverting to normal mode...such a shame.....made more complicated by the fact that ours was a divided home...me in..but my wife left the org after our third was born...after 30 years in I wonder why I didn't see reality earlier......

what I'm finding harder to deal with in the two years since I left is trying to forgive myself for making our three children ( now very much grown up) attend meetings..I'm sorry that I dragged them to sit through talk after talk and demo after demo etc etc...and they were so well behaved and complied 'to please daddy'....the time lost to them can never be restored. I wish I had seen the ttatt years ago and enjoyed more of what a real loving father should do with his children..to them I can only say 'sorry'.
