one major difference between all other attempts to re invent itself before and now is the free flow of information and easy access to ex jws available on the internet.......the gb have a hard task to withold past errors in the face of the web..

Is the Society trying to self sabotage?
by truthseeker ini'm not going to list all the changes here that have happened in 2014, most of you who frequent the boards know about them.. in reference to anthony morris' talk, i can't help feel that the organization is behaving so abnormally out of character for itself that it is bewildering even to ex jws.. cultish behavior is perfectly normal for cults, but whats happened this year is so far out of whack it beggars belief.. what do they think they are doing?
are they psyching jws up for some major announcement?.
i can't help but feel that something really strange is going on, this does not feel like the regular "special announcements" followed by articles in the watchtower.. .

Im still young (19)....just reading Crisis of Conscious

the thing that gets me now that im enlightened is how little the rank and file know about anything this organazation does!

ray franz proved refreshingly honest and open in both his books......eyeopeners...and I too felt angry at wasting 30 years in the cult...a man made cult..it closwed my eyes to much in the real world and cut me off from the really nice youngsters I grew up with...because ' the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.....'...but now i realize that those in the cult are the ones who 'have had their eyes blinded'....there are genuinely nice people in the org...as there are in most walks of life..but...the controlling and manipulative gb body have much to answer for...

by EndofMysteries inthis is what somebody has been telling me, trying to convince me aside from anything one can say or cause reason for doubt, as the evidence that they are the true religion and true people of god.
they are convinced because while 'all other' christian and other religions support war, troops, etc, jw's don't and they are the only one's who carry god's name and preach.
nothing else matters.

some were bitches and others seemed like they hated their status.
many wives were very good examples and were more "qualified" than their elder husbands.. .

have known many elderettes (!)...over the years. Many were fine examples of caring approachable and modest ladies....sincere kind words flowed from them....but I have to say I've known a few badge holders...who lorded (ladied?) it over other women in the cong. One such elderette of a recently appointed elder is to put it bluntly an airhead. She is known in our village as a dolly bird as she is always overdressed and talks incessantly about how much she paid for clothes etc etc...with no regard for others of lesser means...The widow of a deceased elder conversely has always been a kind lady and never boasted about her husband being an elder...so yes, there are many types of elder's wives....as there are also elders too,,

9 years old..baptized?....tantamount to female genital mutilation...both actions are overriding individual choice...both actions are types of abuse...how can a nine year old fully comprehend the commitment of a decision....a contract no less....it matters because if/when the child leaves by choice they will then suffer shunning etc etc etc.....
