My mistake was to be honest, trusting, and friendly. I was DF with no tangible evidence bar my own admittance that I had had a meal with my wife's carer in broad daylight (deemed to be 'brazen conduct') to repay her care and ,often unpaid, help. In hindsight, beneficial I know, I should have not played their game and made them ashamed of their unfounded accusations. One of the elders on the JC has since been removed from the congregation and transferred to another far away, as a result of his habitual interference in other's family lives...

You Don't Have to Tell the Elders Anything!
by minimus inif you were ever brought before a judicial committee, and were about to be interrogated by the elders, just remember...you owe them nothing.
they are mere men and no better than you!
even if it wasn’t a judicial interrogation , you should never feel obligated to them.

On way to work via primary school run, I'm always shocked at how most of the mothers (yes..mothers, not fathers) are on their mob phone whilst their precious children are left to wander behind or decide to cross road before mother..

Library now cleared out
by UnshackleTheChains inwell, it looks like the axe has finally fallen on our kh library.
during a deep clean of the local kh, a brother suddenly informed everyone 'whikst cleaning' that all the old books including bound volumes of the watchtower etc was to be chucked in the skip.. from what i heard, some were taken aback by this and quite annoyed that no announcement was made; that no one was given the choice of taking some of these books home to keep.
i mean the entire collection of studies in the scriptures and others that go back an entire century.

Such a shame. Ebay and Amazon are useful sources of old publications.....but for how long? I've kept all my old CD roms etc...thankfully, because I always suspected that hard copies would be removed from KH libraries....

Zero growth. Much ado about nothing.. Perhaps there's something to be said for burying talents in the ground after all...

JW elders stumped by Watchtower Publications
by Roger Kirkpatrick ini was approached by two jehovah’s witness elders who handed me a pamphlet advertising the jw .org website.
each man carried a bible and an apple ipad.
they told me that they enjoyed visiting with people about the bible, and asked if i was a bible reader.

I'm beginning to realize that many present day elders have just one active brain cell between them and just take turns in looking after it. Where are their thinking faculties?..." Make sure of all things..."

If Angels in the Bible are of neuter gender ? Then why are they always depicted as males by description and name ? And never a female ?
by smiddy3 inin all of the art i`ve seen in christendom, angels always have the form of a male, and in the bible those that are named always have a male name such as michael ,gabriel , etc, .
nowhere in the art world that i have seen do angels have the female form, and in the bible they don`t have female names.. so if the angels are neither male or female why then are they depicted as males with male names ?and not female also ?.
the watchtower illustrators also follow this line .when they illustrate an angel it is always in the form of a male and never a female form.. the anointed who make up the 144000 comprise of male and females right ?

Dear Daniel, If , as you suggest, God made Adam , aka first man, to be alone, without a 'planned woman', why did he equip Adam with a penis/reproductive organs? and, before you reply that a penis was an 'add on', made after God made Eve, then are you suggesting God made two Adams, or gave him an upgrade to enable sex?..In which case, Adam was perfect 'twice'..Logically. Best wishes. -

In my experience I've known individuals help others discreetly and anonymously. But I have never known of the congregation helping as a whole. There are/were kind individuals who helped with their own money and with , i believe, genuine motives. When a sister lost her daughter a certain mature elder, now passed away, gave her a meaningful sum of money to defray the cost of her flying to Africa to attend to matters. But the body of elders as a whole always seemed reluctant/unwilling to help.
