..the arrogance...'we understand'...but they never explain how/why they understand.....very much the blind leading those who can see....this constant times of the end stuff is wearing thin......I've heard it all in the past...'living in the times of the end'...'deep in the time of the end'..'on the precipice of the end'.....soon to come'....'about to come'..etc etc etc....wish they would back up their castles in the air with real scriptural explanantion...but of course..they can't!!!

Today's WT study - WTS playing into Satan's hand?
by leaving_quietly inthe picture on page 26 of the 8/15/13 wt shows three scenarios with the caption "what scriptural principles should come to your mind under these circumstances.
" the scriptures are, of course, what's discussed throughout the article.
"the desire of the flesh", "the desire of the eyes" and "the showy display of one's means of life".

Watchtower admonitions against unofficial pro-JW websites
by Londo111 ina friend of mine asked, "do you recall a watchtower or km that said the jw's are not suppose to read, or post information in defense of the watchtower on their own personal website or anyone elses website?".
of course, there is the july 15, 2011 watchtower: what is involved in avoiding false teachers?
we do not receive them into our homes or greet them.

year or so ago we had talk telling us to only use/research the official jw.org site.....hence the simplification of websites...

If all ''faders'' abruptly left the Watchtower and made no effort to hide the reasons why, what affect, if any, do you think it would make on the congregations?
by ThomasCovenant inwhen you're part of a lovely big group of people who all seem to be happy in their beliefs, it's easier to quell your own doubts.
if i was the only person left in the congregation who still went on the door to door work, because every body else had stopped going , having said out loud what most think, ''it's a waste of time'', how long do you think before i too would cease going door to door?.
i know from my own perspective that having lots of fellow witnesses around me, steered me into making life changing decisions.

their unity is dependent on continuous literature indoctrination/ feeding, regular meetings and the ministry, all wrapped up in a fear of losing friendships cultivated over many years, not to mention family bonds,( emotional ones not the money type!)..and blind trust in the org.....for faders to take action unitedly would need a leap of 'faith' ....individuals are looking towards the doors out...but it takes real courage to come out and take the risk....

any such fading would be classed as fulfilling prophecy....love of the greater number cooling off....suddenly..!...remaining ones would hold the org even tighter...

from what I've seen and read on this forum I would say that most people here have a healthy ( and honest..) spiritual outlook...from my own personal experience I could ask/raise questions and doubts only when I was having my Bible studies before I was baptised in 1984...but...from that moment on any questioning or doubting was shutdown by those who said we should wait on Jehovah....but I could never understand how when it came to following his 'Chariot'..he seemed to change horses midstream...doctrines have come and gone...prophecies have been dissected and false presumptions made that I can no longer see Jehovah's hand holding the organization. In fact, it was only when I took back my duty to myself to base my life on real truth and not the ramblings of elderly men in need of a cup of cocoa, that I have rebalanced and refocussed my outlook. Raymond Franz's books are a real eyeopener.....yes..there are genuinely nice people in the congregations, yes..they are sincere and mean you no harm,..but....I have learnt that we are responsible for what we choose to believe.....the idealism of a young mind can sometimes come with blinkers...
