without disfellowsipping and associated shunning..I think numbers would increase as people would feel more in control and feel less vulnerable to discriminatory behaviour. It would become a religion of choice..not coercion. -

Sad about the past
by Gorbatchov intoday i feel deep sad memories in my brain.. visiting bookstudy with my parents, doing my best giving answers at 7 years old.. doing fieldservice every weekend and on an evening.. i could write so much story's about it.. we believed from our hart and listened to what the organisation told us.. it makes me sad, what a scam it became.. today i can't stand it.. i can cry about it.

..wasted years..meetings..study..conventions. ministry..calling on people with sincerity because we really did believe what we believed to be ' the truth'....making new friends...leaving old ones in the world....making our children go whether they wanted to or not....such a waste..such a scam....time lost forever. yes...I have felt as you do now...but life goes on...we can refocus. -

i google jw out of boredom the other day and find they are now claiming 8 million members.
sooooo.... hold on 2 million increase in 5 years?

..as a registered charity are they not accountable in some way?...seem to remember that there used to be a monthly or annual financial report read out at meetings but never a report of publisher numbers etc. I guess accurate figures of publishers etc is dependent on definition of what constitutes a publisher/interested ones... -

i am sure that the many recent lawsuits are being noticed by the r&f.. here are some gems from that article, titled the naive person believes every word.
