Any thoughts on the real reasons for droppng the 'school"
by sparrowdown inmy thoughts are.
1. they want to avoid being made to comply with any laws that come with anything classed as a "school" especially a school with children enrolled.. 2. the mid-week meeting has been dying in the ass for years and needs a revival.
i predict happy -clappy-sing-a-longs to be included in the program.. anyone else have any thoughts ??

I personally enjoyed the school and readily stood in at last minute for those who didn't turn up. I enjoyed the research and preparation. But on reflection I think one real reason for dropping the school is that it is a weak link. It's an archilles heel..because it allowed students the opportunity to discover and expose ( even inadvertently) doctrinal weaknesses and flaws. It was also the only part of the meeting that gave students the power to demonstrate reasoning and their own take of doctrine. It therefore stands that beyond setting the item or topic the gb had no control ( ah..that word) over what was said/taught to the congregation.....it allowed independent thinking...(a sin.!!)..... -

E-Mail, Just recived. About Bethell adjustments.
by DwainBowman ini just read an email from a friend, and she shared some very interesting emails from her friends about information on changes now happening at the bethels around the world.
here is the email: .
---------------------------------thanks sally, jesus is directing the org and all decisions and instructions to us may not seem practical from now on, neither will we understand the reasonings behind many of the changes that the organization makes.

ALL OF US MUST BE READY TO OBEY ANY INSTRUCTIONS WE MAY RECEIVE, WHETHER THESE APPEAR SOUND FROM A STRATEGIC OR HUMAN STANDPOINT OR NOT....this is being used to excuse and rationalise every action they take these days......when it was first written abuse cases were just gathering pace...the writing is on the wall...literally,,,they have been found wanting. Their arrogance and subterfuge is astounding. If they really believe they can fool all the masses they may find they're mistaken. As the saying goes..you can fool all the people some of the time...you can fool some of the people all the time....but.you cannot fool all the people all of the time...vey true. -

This newly leaked letter PROVES the WTS are hypocrates and do not speak the truth.
by Dunedain inafter reading this newly leaked letter, something profoundly "hit" me.
myself, being born a "witness", and most of us here, who have learned their teachings for years, know of the "importance" the gb/wts always placed on the watchtower and awake magazines, themselves.. from the magazines inception, from back in probably the 1920's, or somewhere that far back, the wts claimed that the preaching work, and specifically the distribution of these magazines, were a sign of the times, and a fulfilment of bible prophecy in these last days.
they would compare the watchtower magazine to a "stinging scorpion", claiming those magazines fulfilled that verse in revelation.

cart witnessing is just a big cop out. I have witnessed carts with four jws (including an elder and his wife) milling around, engaged in idle gossip and chat about which car to buy, or the price of a coat for winter. No members of the public approach them, preferring instead to cross over to avoid them. This week I saw them set up their cart at 8.45 am and they were still there at 12.10...no doubt they count their hours and will revel in revealing their non existent experiences to all at the next meeting platform forum....it's just a sham. Idleness and apathy abounds... -

Impression of Leaked Letter Regarding Annual Meeting
by freemindfade inthe letter that watchtower free put up was very interesting.
here is my impression.. the watchtower is becoming more and more geared towards idiots.
the midweek meeting has a stupid name, and the parts sound equally dumb.

make sense to combine awake and watchtower into one mag..the kind that you 'turn over' and read 'other way'...ie a cover at each end.. so half is awake and half watchtower.... -

Silly Bible things you notice when your awake.
by Crazyguy ini sure you guys can list others but here is a thought about the exodus story.
in chapter 1 the pharoah is concerned that the israelites are becoming to numerous.
and just as a side point we can assume pharaohs were not to dumb and even if they were the smart people of egypt studied in the temple 40 years and they studied all things not just religion.

context. perhaps only two midwives needed as not high birthrate...rather like that horrific instruction to kill all firstborn issued by Herod, how many births would there have been relative to the population at that time?...so..not really a mass slaughter. -

1975 all over again!!!
by John Aquila inwt study edition jan. 2015.
here is the bait:.
as the number of kingdom proclaimers increases and as we near the end of this system of things, there is an urgent need for more facilities.

near the end?...my guess is that we are nearer the beginning than the end !.... -

Could "this generation" inspire a new "1975 debacle"?
by Island Man ini think that it's possible that they're getting ready to issue a new end time date insinuation like they did with 1975. now i know what some of you are probably thinking: why would they be so stupid as to repeat such a mistake, knowing what happened in 1975?
well here're two reasons why i think they could do it:.
first, it's important to remember that they are deluded.

Ray Franz was an Idiot
by vinman inray franz who gave us insight into the gb due to a crisis of conscience was an absolute moron, with absolutely no critical thinking skills whatsoever like all of us have.
i mean, to have a conscience based on some magic man in the sky.. how stupid can you be?
in search of christian freedom?

The Org is terrified of apostates
by SecretSlaveClass ini knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.
all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).
they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.

Guardians of Doctrine.
by Pubsinger ini'm still working my way through the videos..... this has probably been covered before but had anyone else ever heard them use this phrase before?
not me... but it's a clever and as per usual misleading choice of words.. if they are indeed guardians of doctrine, they are very poor ones.
if so jws would believe the same thing now that they did in 1879 and we all know that's not true.

guardians..implying trustworthiness.....doctrine...privileged knowledge. yep..they're self delusional.....
