  WTS Valley Farms??? Is it true???

  hello,.

  someone told me that the wts own something called valley farms but could not show me anything to proove it.. could anyone confirm the valley farms existence and if it does exsist what the wts use it for.. thanks.

  Do they REALLY believe in Armaggeddon?

  do the governing body really believe that armaggeddon is just around the corner?.

  Hi Rick,
  I know that my mom doesn't feel any urgency about the big A......we went thru the 1975 debacle,,,,,,she was so sure her parents would never die..........(they are deceased) the generation change,,,,,,,,I think that concept has been overworked into absurdity......the Jw's I know seem the same.......I think many are plain 'burned-out' on that carrot.
  As a kid mom used to say,"You kids won't make it out of grammar school,cuz A. will be here. Then, you kids won't make it thru high school,cuz A will be here. Then, You're kids won't have to go to school in 'this system' cuz A will be here,well 40 yrs of that emotional/spiritual roller coaster have taken it's toll.
  I think it's the newer ones (in the honeymoon phase) of the 'trooth' who still believe that,just my thoughts,Tina

  Neanderthals and the Bible?

  i am doing some research on neanderthals.

  we know that this species existed and by very recent dna test we can tell that they are definitely not human.has any one done anything on this subject or the accuracy of carbon dating?

  thank you for this board i was enjoying many of the posts here for some time.

  being from russia, i also enjoy this melting pot atmosphere of the fearless norse, nonchalant aussies and unostentatious americans and i really do like your britishers jolly good sense of humour.. and then comes slang: i was enjoying deciphering all the btw fyi imo imho acronyms.

  today that i think i understood what lol means i decided to sign in.

  Are they looking for "Rice Christians"?

  i'm trying to get a clear "take" on this:.

  the wts has often implied that their form of missionary work, concentrating on "preaching and teaching", is superior to that of christendom's.

  christendom often starts out by bringing food supplies, hospitals and the like, supposedly "enticing" the natives with material goodies.

  I've never seen the wts give humanitarian aid to anyone but their 'own'......I do recall someone posting a long time ago,that in one instance they had to do it the US here,to save face in front of the press(but I can't verify or remember who posted that)
  But how very cold of them,,,,,I saw the pix in the awake...and I can't imagine how they can bypass women,infants,children in need to search out their own,,,,,,,,,,,but they do according to every article I've read........and then they have the temerity to boast and self congratulate,on such behavior..................
  No other humanitarian org requires such a qualifier to give assistance!
  And how about the assistance they accept from the world? The Red Cross,Flood relief,shelters do not turn them away..........yet they do they do and crow about it.
  I threw the mag away in disgust after reading it(it gets tossed anyway) but it angered me. A child in need,an infant in need,a woman in need, a man in need,is simply that,a person in distress.
  Are they at all aware how normal ,everyday people view articles like that? My friends are apalled when they see such selectivity done in the name of 'humanitarian effort'. reagrds,Tina

  No one posts a whole article...I've never seen that. And for those of us who no longer have any wt lit. I appreciate it when it's written out,rather than just an obscure reference......the quotes from the lit support the assertion being made,that is good scholarship. It enhances and supports the logical premise being made...Tina

  I was speaking of the last 3 wks,but the entire last year. The fundy christians consistently violated the ffp with their proselytizing.In fact your pal kes,got deleted for that very violation the other day. And I've seen Lisas posts ,Shineys as well,and he is no 'shining example' of conduct either. Tina

  By pointing the finger at the norwegians you are not telling the whole story... it was the fundys,the rabid christians that also violated fpp,and they were the ones screamin to the moddys///From my personal experience,all those who attacked me were followers of christ aand supposed jw's.
