  i am hereby instituting a brand new religion.

  we will from henceforth be called the church of wendy mommy.. we are a multifaceted organisation and will have our headquarters in tampa florida 'cause i know someone there and the weather is good.. we have 3 leaders or gods if you will.

  quick question, please.... is there a way to 'view' this board so that i can see the title and author of the threads under each post before opening them?

  right now, i can see only 'topics', i think.. if anyone has a suggestion to help a sista' out, i would really appreciate it.

  my apologies for 'cluttering' the board with such a banal question, too.. peace to you all!.

  I attended the meeting tonight.....

  i went to the meeting tonight to check out things in the local congregation.

  this spiritual paradise is showing a few cracks.

  when i arrived about ten minutes before the meeting started, i felt like a ghost.

  Hi joel,
  Im trying hard to understand where you're coming from,but can't.
  What sl did in relation to what he experienced is so very very minor.
  I think the monumental negative behavior here is the mass shunning/emotional abuse done upon an innocent individual.
  In harmony with outnfree's post,what is glaringly evident is the victimization of this man,and the attempted and effective silencing of this man in his place of worship,where he has obviously (thru THEIR) behavior lost. Who wouldn't be just a tad miffed?
  I can't see how sl,in any way,has negatively affected his position as advocate. Just sharing thoughts here,Tina

  Coming out of the borg is a pretty weepy time. I can't think of anyone who hasn't wept over broken hearts, broken lives,what should have,what could have,the injustices perpetrated.
  So many have wept also over the futility of it all,the frustration,the anger. Tears are cleansing..........but know this!
  The days of weeping end,and the valor you show thru recovery and taking back your life and mind is indeed,the greatest reward after the tears. Just a small note of encouragement,luv,Tina

  It's not too difficult to imagine the elders and ms's as obersturmbanfeuhers and the r/f as deaf and blind feld-graus following the facist watchtower party line.

  wow,
  All I see here is that sl practiced a communication technique called 'mirroring'. You make someone aware of ludicrous idiotic behavior by mirroring it back at them,,,,some folks have to be SHOWN what they're doing. It worked with the attendant,didnt it.
  I also see it as a tiny protestation against being in a group of people and horribly treated by them. What about sl's feelings going thru this? I'm glad he did that! Seems some want to hold him to an unrealistic and higher standard of behavior, in what was a very human situation. Considering the overt abusive treatment he received,I think he showed admirable restraint and dignity. Just my dos centavos,Tina

  i was born in bolton, greater manchester, in the north of england.. my father was an air-traffic controller and was transferred to london heathrow when i was quite young.

  hed flown many missions on lancaster bombers during ww2.
