  i just hate the way that so many people treat eachother, inside the org and out.

  it bothers me so much, the way many treat eachother in this forum.. i hate all the baggage that we leave the organization with.

  does anyone ever really get rid of it all?.

  100 Good Samaritans needed

  two of this board's, and h2o's before it,long time and well known participants have fallen on desperately hard times.

  if they could set up pay pal accounts and enough of us could contribute say $20 - $50 per month it would help them though their hardship.. these two people have helped many escape from the wts and i know for sure have given money and other material help to those in need, even when they could not afford it.. if you can help, send an email to: [email protected].

  you need not include any particulars of who you are etc, just an indication that you could support this and how much you could send.

  I'm sorry larc,but you missed the whole point. It's not incumbant on those who help to go public here.I dont think it would have helped either.Nobody has to publicly justify what they do. It's really a very simple concept,those who want to just DO.If people have the heart to help,whatever somebody does or doesnt do means nothing.They'll do it or they wont. An individuals heart should guide them,not what others are doing.
  Take a note here. When someone writes a nasty low insulting post, doesnt use a cuss word,makes it no less insulting. Some of the worst insults and slams are done by peeps who never use acuss word here.I get such a kick out of peeps who think couching insults under the guise of questions,casting aspersions on others is somehow less of an insult than one that has a foul word in it lol.

  You dont know what many of us do behind the scenes. And the fact that we dont feel a need to broadcast it. If you had read the thread carefully,you would have seen a post where Trilobite stated that if anyone was worried about a scam,ask TINA! That should have told you SOMETHING. My real friends here know what I do and dont do. FYI,I've been helping others long before this public call. Sorry,some of us dont make the showy display like you do. Of running thru threads waving our checkbook publicly,(how low class) lol. What is this a pig auction? And since you slammed 'old web warriors' as you call them,dont be surprised if they answer in sequence at yer baiting post.
  Go ahead slam me again.you have shown me that it is truly truly the best thing to put you on my ignore list.
  There's a lot going on behind the scenes that you have no clue about. And I wont add to your corruption of this thread. nice going there! Hope you're proud of deliberately corrupting such a sensitive and important thread.

  i just read the comments of australian boxer and muslim anthony mundine.

  he says the attack on the wtc on sept. 11th wasn't an act of terrorism, but an act of religion, because of the actions of the united states in history.

  apparently, while too cowardly to actually say he approves of the terrorism on the u.s., like so many muslims are cowardly in this regard, he seems to slip in his approval through the back door, as it were.

  Been outta a hell of a long time and still bummed

  sometimes i do a lot of thinking.. yeah, i know that is dangerous.

  regardless, at times it seems that even though ive been out of the borg for a little over two decades now, gone through expensive therapy, had a long term relationship once with another ex-dub and spent 8 years in college, i still find my personal thinking effected in some negative ways by my being raised a jw.. for instance, i have a really difficult, if not impossible time, ever finding a community where i feel i belong.

  ive lived everywhere from san francisco to cocoa beach on the opposite coast and no matter where i live, i feel like im an alien from another culture.

  One way to alleviate the negative outlook,is to realize there is no Utopia. That is nothing but fantasy.
  Get involved in your community.You'll make new friends and share in a common goal together.
  You'll find the beauty in your community then,and rather than feeling alienated,feel a sense of affiliation with it.
  Extending yourself,getting involved will help you learn about fascinating diversity around you. Learning about and appreciating cultural and ethnic differences helps one to appreciate the similarities shared by our human family,while celebrating the differences.
  It takes some work and effort,but the payoff is tremendous. You'll begin to feel a sense of cohesiveness with the world around you.
  There are many wonderful volunteer orgs and groups. Choose one that you may see as challenging,interesting.
  You'd be surprised how much less depressed you'll feel when busy and active with others.
  After 2o years ,my personal thinking on blaming the org and parents,whatever,is not a realistic and healthy mindset.
  Blame can be released when we realize we are personally responsible for our feelings,and how we live our lives. That its real possible to get up and do something positive to change negatives into positives.
  The art of living means a pro-active and involved one.just some thoughts FWIW.Tina

  While weisel's experience was quite different. I don't think he would consider others who suffered out of his league.
  I am very familiar with his work and writings.
  he applies his experience to all those who suffer violations of the human spirit. That does include you and others.

  here's another quote from the great man which I feel explains his ethical stance quite well.
