  Hi again Loves,

  I never heard about it being self-contained,but who knows? I was just a lowly r/f sis........ I will admit it was very comfortable inside,compared to other places I grew up with.....ahh that bridge lol. I did a lot of the landscaping. The bros knew of my horticultural abilities (they had always remarked that my gardens were like what we could all do in 'paradise'(tm) so that's where I was put to work. I personally would have designed and planted differently. The area had/has so much potential for creative gardening expression but..............
  I remember my horror at being told to pull up perennial bulbs every year ,they simply tossed them away and gave me new ones. I tried to explain that these came back every year,no need to do this and that they actually would mulitply and look nicer if left alone.........but noooooooooooooo,sisters have no sayso in that kinda stuff.
  Really stupid and horribly wasteful. Somebody had no sense of color design depth balance arrangement etc etc etc....it could have been very beautiful....it's not. ramblin thoughts here,luv,Tina

  I cleaned at Sportman's too! lol
  An experience I told myself I would NEVER repeat ugh.......Im gonna have nightmares about the crusted filth in the mens rooms tonight lol.

  And you're dead on about them being the cheapest peeps in the world......we had talk after talk every year about 'tipping' seems that the bros and sis continued to think leaving magazines in restaurants,and for housekeeping was a good enuff tip lolol....... and always about how 'some' abused the facilities-they had absolutely NO repsect for the places they stayed,kids ran around like animals unsupervised etc etc etc.....
  Even while a dub I was embarrassed and ashamed at the way they behaved...................Cheers sweetie! Tina

  PS Wanna talk about boredom? lol....Danny's showing me how to put palm thatching on the 'hooch' he's building outside (again)lol,,,,and carvin coconuts to decorate it? BWAAAAAAA.......I;m savin up to send him on his dream trip,back to Nam . I think it will be cathartic for him,to see the places he was again,resolve feelings,,etc,,,,get it out of his system (he does love and respect the vietnamese people so much) .
  HE took me to one of their memorial day celebrations,cuz he had lots of contact with the ruff&puffs,,,it was really moving...........
  And maybe I wont have to buils hooches EVERY summer! lol anyway,just ramblin,T

  Later today I am going to see if I can get one of Chgo's newspapers interested in a few of these links,especially after that trite misrepresentative piece they published regarding the recent convention at Comiskey park.

  Image and money are everything

  the example of silentlamb's experiences and the discussion about the watchtower's business practices show that for the society image and money are more important than the welfare of people.. in silentlamb's case, they really do not know what to do with him.

  they cannot df him since that would be a pr nightmare.

  but they can instruct the congregation to mark him and treat him badly as they have done.

  Great piece! I remember it,well done!
  And I remember the Paradise book very well. It sure produced confusion and nightmares.
  I remember when my son was very small,Grandma started studying with him using that book........dumb as I was about other JW 'things',I did tell her and show her what chapters I considered 'off limits' for my boy. SUrprisingly,she agreed(seems she found some of those stories scary as well) Thanks and hugs,Tina

  I attended the meeting tonight.....

  i went to the meeting tonight to check out things in the local congregation.

  this spiritual paradise is showing a few cracks.

  when i arrived about ten minutes before the meeting started, i felt like a ghost.

  I am outraged as well, at this abusive treatment you underwent.
  I applaud and support your continuing courage!
  How frustrated the muckety-mucks must be.....they can't use their power tool-the jc. They know whats comin' down the pike,and all they care about is their public image. So they try the next best tactic in their 'arsenal'.......manipulating the group(cong) to do what they're so afraid to do.
  Your power lies in your honesty and integrity........a concept that most of the world understands,yet is so very foreign to them.
  Truth will out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I wonder how the 'oh,so-self-righteous dubs who are sharing in this unethical base behavior will feel when the situation that you've exposed comes to light?
  Your experience continues to show this org as the power/control mongers that it is-and how totally morally bankrupt they are!

  ok.. i know i've been a bit of a buster in the past, but this is for real.

  there is a site out there, and apparently a demand, for modified housepets.

  in a nutshell, what these ahem... [people] do is take a kitten, sedate it, insert the poor thing into a glass bottle with air holes drilled into it, and run tubes into it to feed it, and tubes into it to take care of everything else.

  I think you need to get out em and come to earth. Parody and 'black humor' abounds in most professions.
  Im glad you're not in law enforcement or the medical community,you wouldn't be able to function.
  In harmony with what larc is saying,black humor(especially in the professions I mentioned) happens all the time and what it does is create some emotional distance between you and the situation.
  One can be too easily overwhelmed by emotions and then be unable to function at top performance and with objectivity. It serves as a sort of emotional protection at times. This is not to say these pros are unfeeling,it's precisely because they DO feel that serves to create an 'emotional cushion'. Tina
