In 1975 *I was 15* my mother allowed me to drop out of school and aux. pioneer. As you know, the buzz was the prediction of 1975. I remember my sister *whom was in college* begging my mother to keep me in school. I was totally wrapped up in quitting school and pioneering! I wallered in the attention that I recieved from my mother. Being one of 11 children, I sometimes felt like a piece of funiture. 1975 came and went and I found myself wanting to go back to school. I went back a year later, a year behind my class. Everyone wondered what happened to me! I graduated from high school... finally! I wasn't encouraged to go to college, so I went to a cosmetology school for 2 years. Armeggeddon was still coming! Fortunately, I made a pretty good living doing hair and make-up. But, looking back, I realize I've missed out on a lot of things. Can't make up lost time, but I sure can make this time count! I think we all did the best we could, with what we had to work with!
