I AM A NEWBIE, NEED HELP

i have been lurking around here for some time,,, i personally know laurie fitzwater and what she has gone through we lived in bradenton.

florida in the late 80's .... she is the one telling me to come here for help ,,, a hug ,,, i have a nightmare of a story which involves married to a professed annointed one who made me and my childrens life pure hell on earth....i guess he needed to be replaced as he was df twice and was never a ms or elder..... go figure i suffer from severe depression and post-traumatic stress and have tried to end it all numerous times... but the turning point for me was this demon--inspired internet and all the truth it contains i also read george orwells.. 1984 --big brother is watching ,,,, doublespeak;;;; its us versus them just to name a few of my eye---opening events i have 5 children,,, and only one my baby (16) in the borg....... i really cant go on ,,, i have emailed lady lee and she helped me alot .... but i have to be careful...... there are spies everywhere....i still attend meetings.

to some extent... missed the assembly this weekend tho.. so please be gentle and reasure me.... i am baby--stepping,,, i am doing the work.............

Trust us, there is life after the watchtower. The more you study and learn about the org. the stronger you will be. Realize that the *world* isn't as bad as the W.T.S. makes it out to be. They want you to think that way so you will be dependent on them!!! Hang in there sweetie. You'll be okay! The fact that you are seeing the WTS for what it really is, and that you are here.....show's you're on the right tract! Give yourself credit for that and pat yourself on the back!

wanted to drop in and say hello.

i was recently given the diagnosis of bipolar after an almost successful suicide attempt.

i am getting ready to press charges against my stepdad for sexual abuse when i was younger.

TexasTornado, I agree with Mimilly on this. They look at you as being spritually weak. I've been down the road with the elders on that issue. I'm also bipolar. After being released from the hospital for depression and substance abuse, they wouldn't give me the time that I needed to get myself together....insisted that I meet with them. It was almost like they were mad that I went to the *world* for help, but didn't come to them. After months and months of refusing to meet with them, they told me that if I didn't meet with them that they would assume that I was excumunicating myself, which they eventually announced. By not following their rules, it cost me my j.w.family. It should be a crime what they do to people's lives.

this may have been a topic before on the board.

it would be suprising if anyone else as not thought of this.. with regards to the 5 governing body members who have been named as child abusers.

would ray franz be able to confirm these aligations?

i have seen (edited to add the word "posted" here, for clarification purposes) on this board that bill bowen is still a jw at heart, and i have seen posts and transcipts of his where he refers to the "christian" way of handling matters.

i have it on good authority that bill is not concerned with the bible, and that he is as far from being a jw as could be (religiously speaking).

bill has refused to answer my inquiries as well as others' when asked about his position on religious/jw matters that have a bearing on his silentlambs credibility based upon direct statements made by him.

i talked at length with ray franz this afternoon regarding the following comments by bill bowen: ray franz supports the wt policy on child abuse.

he is the author of the two eye witness rule as well as the slander issue that prevents anyone from warning another of child abuse in the congregation.

it is interesting that wt is willing to fight to the last man standing for a policy that in large part was founded by their biggest apostate.
