  The irony is that most of the ego-strokes this thread provided u were from generation X.

  They loved it when you called people a "dipfuck."

  As to your essays: Argumentation is overrated.

  Charles Russell put the "hose on hell."

  But it meant nothing.

  Anti-witness argumentation is no more effective than witness argumentation.

  It's all bullshit.

  No one knows a gawdam thing for certain.

  A "hiatus"? That is soooo Hollywood! I've been on a permanent one since the first of the year.

  Actually, I think these kids do a fine job of showing the way out of the Watchtower. We raised a generation of so-called double lifers.

  They never gave two hoots about the "70 weeks of years" prophecy. They just knew damn well they didn't want to be JW's.

  They're articulate enough. William Shakespeare and Jack Kerouac could both express the same thought, but differently.

  What's that card say, again? Oh . . . . hiatus!

  Many of the younger ones will not recall this statement of Richard Milhous Nixon in 1962 after losing the California governor's race. The words were primarily directed at the press, who Trickie Dickie felt had been biased against him.

  Nixon recovered from his wounds and went on to become president in 1968.

  The "Goodbye" thread, statement, gesture or speech is a staple of the feeling of rejection whether it involves the loss of a political race by a few hundred votes or the disappearance of a thread after a few meager replies.It is a lash back at those ignorant ones who failed to fully recognize the worth of the one saying "goodbye."

  I have enjoyed Farkel's threads. My wife especially appreciated the recent one about the WTBS' pseudo-shepherding and she is not a JWD afficianado.

  But I will not join the chorus humbly begging his return.

  He is a man whose brilliance and warts are out there, fully documented by his posting history.

  What Is Beautiful To Me . . .

  the kids are off at their mom's for a scheduled visit.

  i come home from work at 2am in the morning and unexpectedly find them all sound asleep in their own beds.

  there have been no incidents, no problems .
