  an annual meeting is a legal requirement for a corporation.. the watchtower annual meeting (agm) is a legal event that has become the biggest spiritual event of the year, overshadowing what is supposed to be the most important event, the memorial of christ's death.. praise be to the governing buddies who sit on the throne of christ..

  The Smoke and Mirrors of the Annual Meeting

  the annual meeting seems to boil down to an opening talk about an "exciting new" bible museum and a closing talk about an "exciting new" new world translation.

  sandwiched in between were the wt summary, a talk about indoctrinating the children fast/furious, and some "trip down memory lane.".

  why would this "spiritual feast" seem to be anticlimactic?

  AGM is not streamed live, but a download.

  there have been several posts where individuals are asking if it is possible to hack into and watch the agm as it is streamed to the conventions.

  i say it is not streamed live like many are assuming, but a recorded download played for the audience.. why?

  a live stream has many possible points of failure.

  i am curious about this.

  ever since i realized that there is no proof that jesus=michael the archangel, i wondered about who jesus was.

  that's how i think of the father and the son, or the word.

  How would a current JW structure the following statement?

  In the beginning the word was, and the word was with God and the word was a god. (John 1:1)NWT

  A JW would write: In the beginning the word was [created], and the word was with God, and the was a god.

  With this simple example I was able to understand what John was trying to imply, he never stated that Jesus was created. He expressed a continuous line of life for Jesus just as the father, with no beginning and no ending since the word WAS... Just as it stated that no God has been FORMED before YHWH and no other God after. How can then, 'a god' fit into this equation.

  Ray Franz Passed Away Today

  i just received word that ray franz passed away today at 1:37 pm eastern daylight time.

  the cause of death is stated as head trauma, likely due to falling to the ground, and a stroke could have also been part of the cause or a result of the fall.

  he died at emory university hospital in atlanta about 17 minutes after being taken off life support.
